It seems to be a low profile gas system. i maoe this assumption since it is a flat top upper lacking a front sight post though there is a rail where i can mount one where i so choose. i will post photos in order to get some more feedback on my build and get some advice. One other question do you...
Thanks for the speedy reply. I had one other question that has been burning me up lately. I have a carbine length DPMS upper. Is the standard length 7 or 8 inches for the handguards or should I just take them off and measure them so I order the right length?
I just ordered a AR-15 multi caliber lower receiver, and I was wondering since the lower receiver can conventionally be converted into a "pistol" will I have to wait the mandated few days after it arrives to actually leave the store with it? Or can I leave once the background check comes back?
Man, when I posted this I didn't think I would get this kind of welcoming response. I'm a long time gun enthusiast/fledgling gun owner. I am definitely looking forward to participating more openly in this forum after lurking about for a little. Its hard enough to find Americans with a passion...
I never in my short time on this planet did I think that a person, let alone a 73 year old man, could be victimized at his local gun range. Its sickening to see the lengths these criminals will go to get a little money. I hope the gentlemen recovers and they execute whoever perpetrated this...
Its crazy to see things like this plastered on the news. We as gun owners seem to take a hit when things like this occur. All it takes is one fool to make us all look bad. :sad20:
Depending on your time restraints, Spyderco makes a set of sharpening atones that are pretty hefty and geared towards larger blades. Are sharpening them from completely dull, or do the have some sort of edge?
I personally think the thing is more of a conversation piece than tactically sound. While the carrier is cool, and the versatility of the kit is unmatched as a whole. I couldn't see one man carrying all of these blades at once, unless he was meaning to outfit other individuals with weaponry.
I am a huge fan and proponent for Benchmade knives ever since I got my first one back in 2006. They are a bit on the pricey side depending on what you are looking for. But, if you are looking for a folding blade with a heck of a service plan they are my favorite. They are so good H&K has them...
As the title states I have about a 35 inch draw length and I can;t really find a place locally that even carries these in stock for me to try to get a feel for. I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations on manufacturers that might tailor towards longer armed individuals such as myself.
A friend of mine has the same break barrel air rifle and we have been using Air Arms Diablo field pellets for the longest time. Are only about 8 grams or so, but under 50 yards if placed correctly the hit with a nice velocity. However, their accuracy can be a bit suspect in windy and high...
I'm under the same impression here on this one. As long as your immediate neighbors have no issue with the air gun being discharged on YOUR property their should be no interference from local law enforcement. But, I would definitely give my local jurisdiction a call before you end up in a bad...
You said it best. But one way to safeguard yourself and your friend would be to write up a very simple contract with a copy of both yours and your friends identification cards, just to be on the safe side should you get pulled over and (god forbid) get searched. Happened to me once out of state...
