1. The main event for 2010
As we've previously told you, March 9th and 11th will be the main event for the 2010 General Assembly Session. Below are our updated positions on the pending legislation. There are also some new bills that were allowed to be submitted beyond the deadline due to the weather. Details on how to get to the hearings follow later on in this Update. We have many bills to oppose on these days, but there are some that require our support and your continued effort is necessary on both fronts.
March 9th - 1:00pm
•SB386 Victims of Crime - Burglary and Crimes of Violence - Civil Immunity - Strongly Support
•SB411 Defense of Dwelling or Place of Business - Civil Immunity - Support
March 11th - 1:00pm
•HB354 Public Safety - Possession of Ammunition for Firearms - Penalties - Oppose - backdoor justification for the ammunition logs from HB1446 last year.
