Did not get a membership......yet. Went by a week ago with my significant other. We shared a lane and shot pistols. For those running fiber optic sights remember to tun up the LED system above your head. :)

Nice staff, nice facility. Guy on the end shooting an AR pretty quickly. No smell at all and you could see the smoke go down range. Ventilation works well.

Will be going back and will likely join.

How much did they charge for the shared lane? $18/hr, $36/hr ($18 for each shooter), or something in between?

I will tell you what they charged us. $20. It should have been a little more and told them so. They said to be quiet! ;) I thanked them for the nice rate. Karen and I have followed them, spoken with them at shows/events and purchased T-shirts from them. I even went to one of the county zoning meetings to support them.

We did not join but likely will. Full disclosure is that we are members of PNTC and are up there in some type of competition almost every weekend. The membership at TMGN will be nice to allow a little nearby pistol work during the week or in inclement weather. We are shooters that play in action sports so stationary fire has limited use at this point.

I do not recall that actual rates from memory but they do NOT double the lane fee per hour for two people. I recall it being less than ten to add a second shooter. It should have been like $25. So in between. That is how I have found most indoor ranges.

I am impressed with the demographics that I have witnessed from the people behind it to the customers. Young COUPLES (as opposed to our more experienced years) seem to be common and I like that. Look for them to grow with ideas and offerings. What about a COUPLES night? How about a little competition shooting? When I was in I invited Matt to come out and shoot with some "competition" guns. He wants me to send him some suggestions for items to have for rent. The thought is to have a "stock" offering and something "tuned" for people to rent and try side by side. (in the future of course) I like that. That is not a concept I can see embraced at the other range in town. They were not even willing to think about having offerings like STI pistols for people to try.

Thanks for the follow up. When I checked their website in the past, it was ambiguous on shared lane costs and seemed to imply $18/hr per shooter. I have visited there once and forgot to ask. I did like the facility as well as the employees. I presume a couple of them were owners - a young woman who checked my ammo - and hadn't seen 5.7 ammo in the past - and a young man at the register. I'm curious about shared lane costs at both TMGN and Heritage (which I haven't yet visited - but read that the shared lane cost may be $34/hr) because indoor facilities seem like a great option to take friends who are visiting and may be new to shooting.

Latest word is that is you buy lane time at $18/hr, if you share your lane, the second person pays $9. If they shoot in their own lane, then they pay $18. They just started recently with that new pricing.

Shot there yesterday with my daughter and these were the rates.

I can't say enough about how friendly the staff was. Will be back for sure.

Took my family there last Sunday. The range is clean and bright, the staff professional yet friendly. It was a great experience all throughout. Definitely worth the longer drive from Rockville.

Just shot here today. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Range officers were attentive as well. Definitely will be back. They said Sundays are super busy but weekdays are light.

Ventilation was super good and the lanes were cool.

They also let you apply your range fee towards membership if you want.

I predict TMGN will open and have free punch and cookies and some here will complain that the punch is too warm and the cookies are stale.
So many haters on A NEW INDOOR GUN RANGE OPENING IN MARYLAND. So it didn't go perfectly as planned and maybe they'll have a few hiccups when they open. That's just life. We should be celebrating with these people.

There were so many haters before.
Glad you and many here had encouraging things to say before their opening.

Great to see many feedback about TMGN.

Sadly, the two times I've been had been to just say hello...was too busy to use my lifetime membership.. Sigh..even my plans for yesterday was foiled because of my A/C breaking down.

I went a couple of weeks ago and couldn't have been happier, it has that Freestate vibe, clean, professional and modern. the staff was super helpful as well. The lanes are a bit narrow, but it really becomes a non-issue. also hopefully the $100 charge for anyone who strikes the bulkhead or ceiling drives the hooligans away

Anybody heading up to TMGN today, 1Aug?

I've been going every weekend since the soft opening. I prefer Saturday over Sunday, less busy. However, I'm out this weekend due to a messed up back.

Just out of curiosity, what time are you planning on heading over there today?

TMGN was quiet til about 1pm...thereafter the place was busy. Good sign.
    Hope this will continue.
I thought it was cool to see a father teaching his young son how to shoot in the next booth over. He was providing excellent instruction. I felt bad that my second target I had up was a nasty looking zombie target. Probably distracted the little kid.

I can't wait to fire the Thompson!
