I dunno, I have a 625 (obviously I like N frames) and would gladly carry it. Just don't want to pony up for a holster. Moon clips work fine.
Moon clips work fine, especially since there is almost zero chance you will do a reload.

Have you carried a revolver requiring / utilizing moon clips?
I think I have decided on a LCR 9mm
LCRs are fantastic. I love my 38+p.

Good choice.
Dang thing aint on the roster.............they dont have 9mm listed
LOL, figures. You can submit it some way, some how. We have some experts on MDS who have gotten handguns added.
Ill be the only one in MD to own one.

I tend to agree with this. While I think it is a decent choice I would prefer the power of .357 hence my selection of two SP101's. I would imagine his choice in 9 mm has a small edge in power over the .38+p version of the LCR. The 9 mm is definitely short of the power one would expect to have with the .357 version of the LCR when loaded with .357 ammo though.May I ask why? I'm sure it's a fine gun but if I'm accepting the inherent limitations of a revolver (reduced capacity and increased bulk at the cylinder), than I would personally want the trade off to be the fastest moving bullet I could get in that size, hence a .357.

you would go with a 9mm revolver first due to the other carry guns?

Small, lightweight, great trigger, common ammunition, less recoil than .357 but still good power with 9 mm, very solid choice. Oh yeah and it is a Ruger revolver so it is well built.
Hat tip to Marauder and Minuteman for clarifying my goof about moon clips. A S&W is not useless without moon clips as I had suggested. I did not know that head spacing allowed .45 auto rounds without a moon clip. Their correct info might be the push I need to finally get that model 625.
