Check for a recall, foggy memory thinks it was something to do with excess polymer in or around the trigger group.

      Inherited Firearms

15 or so years ago my then father-in-law gave me a M1 Carbine that his father supposedly carried in WW2. My son turns 18 in a few days. Although he gave the M1 to me I know it was meant for my son, family heirloom kinda thing. Since I’m no longer in “his family” I want to give it to my son...

Wheres the “southern end” of MD?” I’m in Leonardtown, I have 9, 45 and 308 you can borrow. I don’t really do any more reloading (time and priorities thing) but don’t wanna get rid of the stuff yet.

      10/22 extended magazines

Mine seamed to have a failure to feed every third to fifth round when I first got them but after much frustration and patience they work perfectly now. I’m not sure what’s there to “break in” but I’m guessing that’s what was needed.

      Savage 99

It's 250 Savage/250-3000, kinda hard to come by that's why he's thinking going to 6.5 creedmore if it's possible. Or a more readily available round.

      Savage 99

A friend of mine bought a Savage model 99 takedown, on closer inspection he noticed the barrel had a bulge in it. Anyone local (hour or two drive) that you all would recommend to re-barrel it? Possibly caliber change? Thanks

.223 bullet selection for home defense AR

Thats what I was gonna say. Load all you want, but leave a mag filled with factory loads if that's your choice for home defense.
