If any of you are ever in the Lebanon, PA area, it will pay you to go to Shyda's gun shop. I usually make two trips a year to stock up on primers, power and shot. Their prices are a breath of fresh air compared to Maryland.
On just two single pounds of powder, I saved almost $10 from what I would pay here in MD. Since I use Unique in everything from handguns to shotguns, you can buy 8 lb kegs if you didn't live in Maryland. I also saved $11 per 25 pounds of shot.

Their primers are also reasonably priced although I didn't buy any this trip and didn't check the prices.
Their handgun prices are also so much cheaper than down here. To bad the cost of shipping and FFL use cut back on the savings.

I don't just drive up to Lebanon to buy stuff. With today's gas prices, it wouldn't be worth it. What we do is combine the trip with a shopping trip to Lancaster and a train ride in Strausburtg so it makes for a fun day all around.

    Regards,

Not to derail your post, but what train do you ride in Shroudsburg?

    I'll assume this one.
    http://www.strasburgrailroad.com/
We went on it a couple years ago and the kids had a blast. The one in Cumberland is longer and more scenic though. http://www.wmsr.com/

    Anymore info on Shyda's?
    Like the location?
We use to go to Lancaster for Dutch Wonderland but the kids have outgrown that so I guess it's Hershey next year.

P.S. If your that close the Cabelas in Hamberg Pa is worth the drive. Priced like Bass Pro but for a rainy day, great entertainment.

    Bonanza,

I corrected the spelling in my original post, it was the Strausburg RR. As far as Shyda's it is about a half hour north of Lancaster on Linclon road in Lebanon. They have a website, not a very good one but it has the address on it.

    Ikeneific,

They will sell long guns, ammo etc and also transfer handguns to MD. Like I said before, if you have a guy who does transfers for say $25, you will probably save money buying the handgun up there.

Can you buy powder, primers, etc... in PA if you're a Maryland resident?
Nice try, but not quite the problem. Everyone here is, of course, alluding to the real issue, which is that the OP is probably breaking the law in a huge way by storing more than 5 pounds of powder.
