Took mine out to the TCA MG event yesterday on the AGC 100 yard line. After finishing with the MG stuff I tried the pistol. Felt good in the hand, good heft, sights OK. Shot pretty well, was getting pretty close to the target jugs, but it made my trigger finger sore (WTH?) using AE 115g.

Gotta fix one of the spare magazines: the area around the little ledge for the magazine disconnect has been pressed in somehow and doesn't engage the trigger bar. Mags are too expensive to not fix this.

Then I switched to the Webley MkVI in .45AR handloads. Felt much better, cured my sore finger.

My second MAS arrived today. I don't think the numbers on the frame are year of manufacture. Mine says 35780. There is also a CM on the take down pin/slide lock. A DA on the trigger assembly. No DA on the trigger. There is a 1 on the inside of one grip, and a 2 on the inside of the other. [EDIT] I corresponded with the importer and he tells me that this pistol was made between 1972 and 1973.

There are so many variations in markings with both manufacturers that I can't keep track of them all. It's wonderful!

man I'm glad I got my "MAC" before they jacked the price up... those seem to be languishing now at the higher prices though.

Yep - that's the reason I did not get one. I see that they limit how many MAS pistols they offer at any given time as well. Well, this higher serial MAS looks really good, so I am happy.
