How are letters on a scope pushing anyone into religon?

God save the Queen....cause we are screwed.

And I'm not by any means overly religous but if a few numbers and letters on your equipment strikes a cord with you, then you need some real world issues...because apparently you dont have real crap to care about.

Oh...and this is 5 years old.

Off to burn my trusty Crossbreed holster...who cares if it works I cant stand a cross on my holster.

Anyone know is my ACOG TA33 can be sent back to get the verse removed from it? Will they handle shipping?

Throwing away all my cash to...screw in God we Trust.

Just Googled the qoutes.....who cares you freedom hating hippies.

It's sad to watch the U.S. Army slide into politically correct oblivion. I hope we never lose our economic and technological advantage over the rest of the world's militaries. I am not sure how well out new Godless, LBGT friendly, sexually integrated Army is going to do in an even or worse odds fight.

What if the sniper is Jewish?

Its Trijicons product, they are free to do with it as they please. My ACOG still has the verse in it.

All people have to do is look it up, it talks about light, and never being in the darkness. It fits Trijicon well. Doesnt refrence Jesus, or God, or Christian faith. Other than it being from the bible, noone would ever know if they put the actual words on the scope instead.

If it was any hadith being referenced, people would go apeshit over the obvious infiltration by muslims and their imposing sharia law on us.

If it was a wiccan symbol, people would be crying out how it's yet more moral decay of our country and all that jazz and throw in something about satanism or whatnot.

The US Dollar has "In God we trust" on it.

Some practicing Jewish people don't write or spell out "God".

Does an atheist become insulted when he uses the dollar to buy something?

Nope. We only become insulted when we see the BS the first time. After that, we just laugh to ourselves, because god was obviously a huge fan of money.

The under god thing in the pledge, now that's insulting. Way to deface the original pledge because we were afraid of Russia and trying to find any way to distance ourselves from the "godless commies." It's just disrespectful to throw that in there because we were afraid. I thought this was America.

People find the stupidest stuff to get offended by...I feel better knowing God is with me in the battle we call "life"...

The original pledge: (Trivia of the day: written by a socialist)
I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Modified in 1932 in order to make sure immigrants knew we were talking about the American flag to:
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

"Under god" was added in 1954, as the cold war and McCarthyism was gaining strength. It was a way to say that the christian god was on our side and not on the side of the USSR. McCarthyism was big on calling the citizens of the USSR "atheistic communists" while spreading his fear of the USSR to the masses here.

Congress, in direct violation of the First Amendment ("Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion"), added the phrase "Under God" to the Pledge in 1954.

Thank you both, i never knew that.

It has to do with them taking us off the gold/silver standards. Essentially our money is worth whatever the government tells us it is, so we have to trust a god that it will still be worth something when we use it.
