Wrenn PI Granted (DC Shall Issue)

Just to follow up, I do not think it wise for people who have never registered a gun in DC to be giving advice about it. Further I believe Engage Armament is a member here and will remember ATF agents descending on their gunshop over the issue of someone trying to register an unserial numbered...

Wrenn PI Granted (DC Shall Issue)

Well then, why don't you just go on down to the bank and get about $200 worth of quarters for the parking meters - 7 1/2 minutes per quarter- and then take one of your unserial numbered guns down to MPD and get it registered. Let us all know if you run out of quarters before getting it...

How many pre 68 guns without a serial number have you ever registered in DC?

      Not true.

Wrenn PI Granted (DC Shall Issue)

Maybe I will apply. I have no desire to carry concealed here nor anywhere else but it might be an interesting exercise.

      DC Re-registration Begins Today

I went through it today and Officer Douglas was cheerful and helpful. The fingerprinting for about the umpteenth time was quick and even somewhat interesting to see the digital image of each one on the screen. They accept MC and Visa. I don't see the point in reregistration but I guess it...

      Elk... again.

Elk hunting is a lot of fun. I hope they do introduce them. I drive out to Utah to hunt elk every year. It would be great to have some in Maryland. One of the best thing that has happened out west is the closing of trails to OHVs. Makes actual hunting a lot more fun to not have some fat...

Harren Custom Rifle and cow elk

On opening morning of the Utah elk season I got up at 4:45 and made some coffee and breakfast and hiked down the mountain to where I had killed an elk last year. About 9:35 a bull and cow appear about 200yards away. I had the light weight 260 Rem Eddie Harren had built for me and the shot was...

      Antelope at 1150 yards

Here is an antelope my daughter shot a few years ago at about 350 yards and it ran about 125 yards or so. The exit hole is so big you could stick your fist through it. Same rifle and bullet! [/IMG]

      Antelope at 1150 yards

The 7mm is a 338 Lapua case blown out and necked down to 7mm. My version of Exbal does not allow for use of the G7 BC so I use three different G1 BCs in velocity bands to get an accurate curve for the bullet's path.

      Antelope at 1150 yards

First let me say that I shoot regularly in the 1000 yard F-class competitions at Quantico to maintain my shooting skills. Secondly, I do not always make a good shot even at short ranges because things just happen out in the real world. Thirdly, here is a picture of an elk I killed bowhunting...
