Would I have any issues installing a VTAC handguard...
...on this 14.5 upper? Plan would be to shave the FSB, remove handguard cap (obviously) and throw on a VTAC Extreme 13" tubular handguard. I've seen threads on this issue elsewhere, but was looking for gunsmith opinions on this forum. Would the Vortex in particular cause any issues... -

Thinking about an upper build...
I want to stick a VTAC TRX 13" rail on a Spike's Elite 16" upper with their NiB BCG and FN SAW-spec steel barrel. Such a build would involve shaving the FSB to allow for a freefloat rail. Any reason I shouldn't/couldn't? I was planning to buy the upper from AIM - it ships with a MOE handguard... -

Ruger GP100 Cylinder Wobble...
