I work as a photojournalist at one of the TV stations in Baltimore. I go to a lot of crime scenes and find myself in a lot of high-crime areas often. A little over a year ago I was threatened by a young man who said he had a gun and, long story short, my reporter and I told the cops, they chased...
Had a chance to speak with MSP a few weeks ago. Work related. They said that on 7/1 the new hires will start to offer help with more paperwork which will help with the wait. 15 more to add to the staff. Hopefully that will speed things up.
Looking to head out to Hap Baker next Saturday to try out and sight in my Rem 783. I've got targets and ammo. Any advice for a first timer to their range? What's the deal with targets there? Do I have to bring my own target stand?
Hey guys - been following this thread for awhile now as it took 60 days to get my first firearm and as of 5/20 I'm back in line for another. I work at Fox 45 and they're doing a cover story tonight on this back-up at MSP on the News at Ten. I raised the question about the back up and the NICS...
Continental won't call you. You must call them. They're the only FFL in the state that will not call you. I purchased a Glock from them on 3/2 and received it earlier this month. I visited once a week during the wait.
Just purchased an XDm from Free State. Better, but pricier, range. Also...
I put a 19 mag with spacer on my 26. It's fun at the range and surprisingly accurate with such a short barrel. I fell in love with the XDm platform after shooting my buddies 3.8" XDm 40. Found the 4.5" 9mm and went for it. Also 19+1? Yes, please.
I left this thread about three weeks ago when I received my 3/2 purchase on the 60th day. Just jumped back in line with an XDm 9mm from Free State that I purchased on Monday 5/20. I can't believe I'm seeing 80+ days. I guess I'll get my XDm in December. Merry Christmas to me.
Went to the range, left with an XDm9...well the receipt for it at least. I love my buddies XDm40 and with 19+1 it's just plain sweet. I'll pick up a Glock 22 or 17 some day.
After a 60 day waiting period, I've received my Glock 26 and put a good 1000 rounds in it so far. I love the gun! I stumbled upon some winnings at the preakness (enough to buy another gun and to re-model the man cave) and wondering what I should buy next!
The G26 shoots very well and I love...
I looked at that Colt. Good feel to it, but I love my SW1522. Not one FTF or FTE yet though i have been experiencing issues with the plinker tactical 35 round mag...i think it's just break in issues though
Went to the range for the first time with my Glock 26 from 3/2. I was checking out a Glock 21 but told myself I didn't want to go through that process again and to only wait longer...sad times right now.
