current ATF wait time

Atf says it can take up to 4 weeks for them to mail it out. I have seen it take up to 6 weeks in the past. But it worth a call. My last 1 took 3 weeks before I received it.

So when they say it's been mailed out it could be possibly not sent out yet,?

That I would believe if they say they have mailed it back I'd believe. If you look at nfatracker.com you will see some get them get them in 3 days after there approved. Some 5 and 6 weeks. Seems to be tied to who approved it.

Bought & paid cash for a supressor (not in stock) from dealer on April 2.

As of today June 6 it's still not at my dealer.

I would like to call that ATF # to check the status of I'm assuming the Form 3, but my dealer said they won't know the serial # until it comes in....

I've called twice since I bought it & I don't really want to be annoying but couldn't my dealer make a call to their distributor & find out the serial number and let me know it? At least this way I know SOMETHING & can stop bugging my dealer & get some sort of info from ATF as far as where it is in line.

I don't know much about form 3's except my last purchase was also a supressor that wasn't in stock & they called me in 6-7 weeks when it was in.

Would I be out of line asking my dealer to try & find out the serial number?

Just to update my previous post I got the call from my dealer the form 3 came back Wednesday & I got down Thursday to start the Form 4 paperwork.
Friday morning (8am) I dropped it off at Cecil County Sheriff Office to have Sheriff Scott Addams sign off on it... They called me at 10:30am to tell me my Form 4 was ready to be picked up!!
2.5 HOURS for a CLEO sign off!!!!
Mailed it to Atlanta GA this morning (Saturday) and now the real wait begins.... Hopefully Sept-October ..?

Starting to get ants in my pants, had my suppressor in jail since February 24, about to roll up on 4 months. Hoping it will only be another 4 weeks or so till it's summertime Christmas for me.

Honestly though I might be an anomaly. I've seen a bunch of people get ones back that were filed after mine, both here and on NFA tracker. I also don't know the exact date the shop sent the docs in or anything.

Makes sense, most people post pending dates.. Your date is a purchase date which doesn't mean a lot as it relates to NFA time frames.

Idid one last Sept and it was even longer and people were saying something went wrong(not). Then it started happening to everyone that I know of.

I did the date i submitted my form 4, back in May, didnt see the hit to my card till last week =/.

So that is probably going to take another 6 months to take possession. Trying to figure out if I want to start a new project as I wait.

Yeah, submitted doesn't help a lot.... But the date of payment helps! They've been sitting on the mail over there, so mailed dates to checks cashed dates vary...
