I traded my HK-91 for an AR-10T in 1995. The AR is softer to shoot, more accurate and easier to clean (perhaps out of familiarity).
All that said, I wish I had kept it AND got the AR-10....
I was up at Atlantic Tactical (near Harrisburg PA) this past weekend. They had M22 for $64/thousand. They had MANY 1000 rd bricks and several 2000 rd boxes. Not the best price.... certainly not as bad as some of the gougers out there.
swaging die is really the only way to go. Especially with the number of cases you mentioned. (Been there done that took many years to finally break down and get a swaging die). After that it's one of those, "Why the heck didn't I do this 20 years ago?" LOL

Can Am guy here... had a Can Am Outlander Max 800R (two up) with a Warn Pro-Vantage - worked GREAT! But sold it and bought a Can Am Commander 1000XT, which is awesome as well! Not cheap, but kicks butt!
Funny, after shooting ARs for over 30 years I had grown used to it.... When I got the SCAR, the first thing I noticed was the different cycling sound/feel of these rifles. May have something to do with piston v gas, but the SCAR still feels/sounds "weird" compared to my ARs.
