In a effort to create a good shtf back pack gun I slapped a butler creek folding stock on my Ruger 10/22.
Now i am looking for some decent iron sights for the rifle.
I have looked at the GI style sights. I don't want a red dot or scope, i have that on my carbine, but this is for a bare bones...
I am thinking of putting a 14.5 barrel on my carbine, and have what might be a pretty silly question.
I am just starting to think about this and haven't looked into it much at all but I was wondering, once it is made into an SRB and I have to tax stamp etc, is there something that I would...
I'm not putting this up as a classified ad because I don't live in Maryland anymore.
I am hoping you guys can help me set a price for a rifle I want to sell.
Its a Colt Match Target Competition HBAR.
It has always been kept/carried in a case, so cosmetically it is in great shape. It has, at...
First off, even though I don't live in MD anymore I keep coming back here cause MD Shooters has a better "feel" than any other gun forum.
Okay now the question:
I spent the last two days back country camping and back road driving in my CJ in southern AZ (right on the Mexican border) with the...
Hey folks, I need your help.
I'm in the market for a colt 6920. I'm looking for a tool not a collectable, so I'm willing to go used.
New they seem to low end just under 1400(plus taxes, shipping...and what have you.)
I've also found a used one that the fellow claims is 98%. Only to the range...
Hey all,
I often drive on old Jeep CJ to and from the range and obviously it doesnt have a trunk.
So when I travel with my pistol I have been putting a cable lock through it and placing it in my range bag.
I would think that if I got pulled over for anything a LEO would see this as a...
I see a lot of mixed reviews of the classic Beretta so I want to take this two beer induced moment to say that I love my 92 FS.
It's great fun to shoot with low recoil. It has become my daily concealed carry over the last 5 months and I dread my up comiing return to Maryland when it will have...
I am putting this here since it deal with carry laws as opposed to the firearm itself. I should also note that I am not in Maryland at this time, but I trust you guys to come up with some good info.
I am curious as to how concealed a concealed weapon must be.
I have an inside the belt holster...
Anyone out there have oppinions about the Beretta Cheetah?
I really like my 92 but would like a smaller sidearm for CC and it seems to be a scaled down version for the most part.
Thanks.
Howdy all!
We have moved our residence to our place in Arizona and I am getting my Arizona CC permit and am looking for advice on an inside the belt/pants holster for my 92FS.
Yes, I know it's a big gun but I'm a big guy. Plan is to maybe carry in the small of my back.
Thanks.
Stopped into Gun Shack in Mt Airy last night and saw that they have an M1.
The serial number is in the either in the low 2 hundred thousands or low 2 millions, (It was 22something, I should have writen this last night when I still remembered, but the Wings were playing) Either way it is WWII...
Is it possible to add a flash suppressor to an HBAR barrel by having a gunsmith thread the barrel? And what would be the legal fallout here in our great state?
EDIT:
Someone on AR15.com sent me to this link http://adcofirearms.com/shopservices/shop_.cfm?code=1 so it seems it can be done.
So...
I need help getting my AR zeroed.
First off: it is a Colt HBAR 20".
Everything I have read, including the owners manual says to zero it at 25 meters adjusting only the front sight. The one area of difference is that some say the rear should be set at "Z" (including owners manual) and some say...
Does anyone know of a shop with complete ARs in stock in the area?
I like my HBAR but want to get the "real thing", and I have never been good at waiting.
Thanks.
I am thinking that Easter Sunday might be a relatively slow time at Hap Baker, making it the perfect time to take the wife out for her first time.
I know the brochure and signs don't mention being closed on easter but does anyone know for sure?
Howdy all,
I am making my first trip to Hap Baker today, what do I need to take as far as targets? (meaning to they sell targets? and do they have tape to hang them?)
Thanks and if you happen to be there I'll be the guy with two teenagers, an M-1, an AR and a Blue 10/22, feel free to say hey.
Hey all,
I am about to teach the wife and kids to shoot. While they are all big enough to handle the AR, I think the nosie would be a turn off. And the M1 is just to much for them. Not to mention the cost of shooting these weapons (if you can find ammo).
So I am looking to pick up a cheap .22...
Over the past two weeks I have bought up a little over a thousand combined rounds of .223 and 5.56 (because I am in Arizona and it is available), to me that seems like a fair amount to have on hand.
But I also I have a buddy that is IMHO a bit nutty and he is spending 10% of his income on ammo...
I have looked around this forum and others for info on .223 vs. 5.56 ammo for ARs, and understand that the rule of thumb is .223 in a 5.56 but not 5.56 in a .223.
My Colt is stamped 5.56 on the barrel but the lower is stamped CAL. 223.
So...?
