Unfortunately I let my C&R expire a year or two ago, and I just submitted my new application. The ATF has charged my card last week. I know that doesn't mean anything with relation to processing time but wonder how long it may take to receive my package. Has anyone received theirs lately and how long did it take?
    Thanks...

I think mine was about a month and that was with a mistake I made on the form. I was able to correct it easily with an edit.

For #11, A on the application, did you have to send in an explanation sheet for "Held a Federal Firearms License?"

It would certainly seem that you would answer "yes" to 11A and comply with the guidance to give details on a separate sheet. Don't see any exception to that requirement...am I missing something?

Not sure that question appears on the Renewal Form. It is included on the basic Application for Federal Firearms License (Collector of Curios and Relics) form.

I let my C&R expire last summer, then sent in a new application back in mid April. I did say that I had previously have an 03 FFL and included an explanation page with some blurb about needing to let my bank account recover. Sent it to my CLEO, too, as part of the package they get. My CC wasn't charged until mid-May, although I did receive three weekly email newsletters from the ATF in the meantime. I did include my email address on the application, so to me that means someone read my app, entered me into the system, but didn't charge my card for a month for some odd reason.

I'm not too worried about it and am not in a huge hurry to get it since I'm focused on getting a couple NFA items submitted before the rules change in July. Just got my NFA trust notarized today! But I think that my first C&R app in 2012 was submitted and approved in just over a month, so it is taking longer this time around. At least for me.

Sent my renewal in about May 1. License was waiting in my mail when I got back in town from vacation on the 29th.

    Any update?

Got the new license in today's mail! Just the one page license, not the fat packet. But I guess a ~7 week total turn-around time isn't that bad. It felt longer since they took so long to cash my check.
