    Good question.

    Actually, this morning while the commercials were on during the morning news, my wife flipped to the Biography channel (which I hate, because the only people they ever bio are actors/actresses... not anybody I would care about like a politician, military leader, or scientist)... and low and behold, they are doing a bio on Tracy Lords... and her then on-screen/off-screen boyfriend Peter. I didn't realize that she was underage when she made just about all of her movies... and then it was back to the news.

    Yep! When that bit if info came out, hundreds of thousands of Americans instantly became watchers of, if not also owners of, child pornography. The owners/employees of companies that had been selling and renting her videos went into the cold sweats for months--if not longer!

    True Story
    When my wife and I were preparing for our wedding, we were told about a very nice woman in MD who made custom wedding dresses. She ended up making my wife's dress. While we were there, she showed us an album of dresses that she'd made for other brides, and I thought that I recognized one of them. I said she looked familiar, and the woman smiled and said, "That's Traci Lords. John Waters brought her to me to make her wedding dress."

    For the record, she looked like a very normal, very pretty, and even modest, bride ... and the dress was white.

    You knew who Traci Lords was, but I take it your wife-to-be didn't. I mean, she married you, right?;);

    Machie - I'm a little concerned about how much an old guy like you knows about this subject matter.

    I was young once.

    Yep. I was just happy that she didn't know who Peter North was.

    I might add here a footnote that when I saw the photo of her in her wedding dress, I knew she looked familiar, but couldn't immediately place her. I thought that she might have been someone who did the weekend weather, or something.

    When my daughter was little, my FIL and his second wife had an antique shop in Mt. Vernon. We'd go down with our daughter on Saturdays and meet up with them and 2nd wife's daughters and their kids. Occasionally John Waters or Divine or one of that crew would come in and shoot the breeze - 2nd wife used to lend Waters props back before he could afford to rent them, and rent them to him once he could. One time we were there and Traci Lords came in with a couple of other people. I think this was when they were filming "Cry Baby" back around 1990 - our daughter would've been maybe 3 or 4. I recognized Traci Lords immediately, but I wasn't about to say anything. Turned out long after that all of us (the grown-ups, anyway) had recognized her, but no one wanted to admit it, even after she left.

    Probably better for the rifle than some of the places I've seen them put for photos ... like the top of a rough brick wall.

    :thumbsup: amen...

    I've even seen high-end firearms (M1, P38, Colts, etc) set on bare concrete, brick steps, etc. - and many of those were "showing off" photos from collectors, not for listings. :lol2: or :sad20: ?
