My 1943 Remington 03-A3 arrived in the mail on Friday and I was able to take it to the range today. Now I know why people love this gun so much. It is a joy to shoot.

I also had some fun with the Star Super B I picked up from Lou on Friday.

I forgot to get photos of the targets, but they are excellent shooters.

I just started casting and powder coating my own bullets a few days ago. Finally got to test some today, they all did quite well.

This was the best, 9x18, the Lee 95gr coated with HF red, shot out of my Polish P-64 at 21 yards off rest

Today I tried my first ever cast rifle bullets. Powder coated w/ red HF powder.
Shot some through the "M95/34" 8x56R and the K98, both were very accurate.

Here's the "M95/34" and 5 shot group @ 50 yds, one to the left was my fault...
18gr 2400, 2.995'', Lee 205gr sized to .329 (note: load is too light)

    Wow

Not sure how to take that...

I powder coat because I'm not spending something like 200 bucks on a lube-sizer and dies/top punches, and I'm not using the Lee tumble Alox. So, I powder coat, it's super easy, and it works nicely.
Never have to worry about leading and they shoot great.

wow as in cool. Nice work, there seems to be a trend around here on that. Dad just showed me some guy who's locally doing some epoxy coated handgun ammo that is also being done in Europe.

Mosin PU Sniper at the 200 yard range. Spent most of the time getting it on paper then zero'd (as much as you can zero a PU scope). took 3 shots to realize the elevation knob was way up at 700meters. Some more shots once I got on paper. Last 4 shots were a group about 4". But I was not waiting very long between shots.
I'd like to come back another morning and see how tight I can get it with a longer pause and a zero'd in scope.

Thanks! If you ever decide to cast (can't remember if you do or not) let me know and I'll write out some tips for what I've learned so far. Lots of trial and error, but even the ugly ones shoot well so that's a plus!

Its crazy simple, and you can do it with nothing but a toaster oven, 4 dollar a pound Harbor Freight powder, a Tupperware, and your brass tumbler.

Epoxy sounds interesting, I'll have to Google that one

Awesome! They aren't fancy but they do exactly what they were built for! I need to grab one before they get more expensive.

    ^^^^^^^^^ SKS, Cool stuff ^^^^^^^^

Pics of my Dad's M1 Carbine at range this morning.
First paper is 50 yards from bench.
2nd is 50 yards offhand. Big holes are from an inline @ 100 trying different Sabots (that I was not happy with).

The M1 Carbine like the SKS are really fun and light rifles for shooting offhand.
