Ha, I lost cell and cell GPS capability (this last one confused me) when out there on my Nexus 5X with Google Fi service (hops onto Sprint or T Mobile networks), so I was essentially in the dark so lucky that we had a rendezvous time near the highway turnoff. Definitely not a path I could easily commit to memory on the first time up the mountain after the turnoff.

Ahhh so the new HPJ16 cell jammer is working.

Anyway, I think we need to atone and get this thread back on track with some range day pics using C&R firearms. I have a couple in mind so will be back to update after a range trip...

I don't have anything new, really, but in an attempt to save this thread...

Took the "2 years to C&R" Beretta model 70 to the range.
I had no problems with snap caps at home, but at the range, the Geco ammo would not chamber from the mag. The Mag was holding onto the case too long and getting stuck at an angle.
I had to single shot it.
I did take it home and noticed that my snap caps are short compared to PPU and Geco ammo. PPU was the longest OAL.
Fiochi was the same as the snap caps. I pulled a Geco bullet, removed primer and made a dummy round the same length.
After tuning the feed lips to open towards the front of the mag, I got the Geco to work just fine. Snap caps still worked fine also.

    Lol
My rule is $300 or less I'm on it
That Beretta is sweet all over and breaks down easy too.

My only .32: the CZ50 in the middle. Nice little shooter, never a failure with PPU ammo, and it easily meets your $300 rule. (I think it was more like $200.)

    (P64 above, CZ82 below, both 9mm Makarov.)

Grrrr! Don't rub it in. I missed the CZ50 and CZ52 trains when they came and went.
My Cz50 was $275 by the time I got one. Love it.

    C&R Range pics thread

Had the recently acquired Persian Mauser out and the Swedish Mauser that received a tall front sight (need to file some off the top).

Persian Mauser actually shot really well with my 150g reloads. Shot high with the 198gr reloads
This Persian Mauser has sharp rifling but a frosty bore. It was marked low for a Persian at the HC show but had a rusty bore. Just shows this could be cleaned up and shoot well.
For comparison, the Swede on a good day for me would have grouped 1" @ 50 yards, but my shooting was not at its best Sunday.

Top is Swede, bottom is Persian.
Shot from Bag at 50 yards.

100 yards. Shot the 1890 GEW 88 along with the K98K and an AR.
All the hits on the steel in the pic were offhand standing. Small taps were the AR, large taps were the K98K

I shot mouse far reloads with cast lead bullets from the GEW88.
    Normal reloads from the K98K.

I really like the trigger on that K98K. The GEW 88 was not bad though. Grouping with the GEW88 was all over the place but I have not worked on my low pressure reloads for it very long yet.

Shooting my Grandfathers Carcano this morning. Ran like a top. Wanted to shoot it for a long time but just now got around to doing so.

I will be grabbing more ammo for this thing.
