I have a class and its for showing people that most people dont notice a thing. I will stand up front with this on under a hoody for a few mins talking, before I ask how many noticed I was carrying a gun ( all unloaded and checked )
    Reminds me of this.

did you affirm? To me a way to fish
At the time I carried no weapons. Today i probably would, only because I don't know what they have seen. as in as they are talking to me from the passenger side is my P320 peeking out from under my shirt or if they come to the driver side and I am reaching for my registration in the glove box do they see out line of my mags under my shirt.

Only a little, it will be more of a flex to say I also own 10 mags for it. Even more of a flex of I am probably gonna buy a CS.

But for the fun part. I had that on today during the class I had a normal sized hoddie as my cover. I had it on for 45 mins, of walking around, talking teaching etc. When it came to the time to talk about cover garments, holsters, belts etc I went thru the stuff on that for 20 mins. At the end I said " you all know I have been armed ( unloaded ) all day ( showing drawing, rehostering etc )". I announced that I had 6 guns on me, and 4 of them where glock 19 or larger. I started pulling them out as I explained most people are oblivious to when people carry. I think I got the point across, the eyes got all big and jaws hit the table.

Nice. I'm going to have to settle for the Prodigy... though I've shot one and it's nice. And that'll still take a bit of saving lol

That is a double edge sword there, you do not tell them and are asked to exit the vehicle and you "uncover" your gun while undoing your seatbelt and it gets seen now your hand is near a previously unknown gun and it could go down hill quickly from there.

Aren't all handguns considered regulated firearms and need to be registered?

There is exceptions though. I myself have an exception. Mine aren't registered nor do they need to be. I'll let MSP deal with it and take em to court for ensuing shenanigans if needed.
I dont know what running serial numbers are supposed to do other than seeing if the gun is stolen.

Down here there isnt any BS registration or requirement to use a FFL for FTF sales.

The police dont stop you for Glock stickers or ask if you have guns in your vehicles or at least I have never been asked, and I usually have 2 handguns in my vehicles at all times in my home state and sometimes a couple rifles as well (ARs etc)

Maybe its assumed everyone has guns on them down here, but I dont recall anyone I know having issues about guns in the car when stopped for a traffic violation.

If I were ever asked I wouldn't lie, but I wouldn't just volunteer anything either.

If I do travel to/through other states I do follow their laws regardless if I think they are ********.

They had no reasonable suspicion that the firearm was stolen, as they stated themselves on the record

There’s another video maybe you’ve seen that’s floating around with a guy in a Tesla. It’s gets even weirder because the younger (newer?) state trooper grabs the guys holster/gun and then puts it back. There isn’t any timestamps but a good length of time goes by and then another trooper comes up and needs to run the firearm for “officer safety.” Which makes no sense when the guy has probably been sitting there with his gun in the car at least 10 minutes with the other cop.

Seems like a lie? Maybe there is a new “policy” these police departments enacted post as a reaction to Buren with the job to run stolen gun checks when they’re made aware

the officer safety has become a bull shit thing, they now claim everything they do is for officer safety. it is a get out of jail free card for them. if you are so scared that you have to treat good people like harden criminals then they need to find a new job! the police need to be held to the same standard as civilians when it comes to use of force.

As civilians and non-employees of these LE agencies- we are not required to follow their policies. There is no law in Maryland that required we surrender our 4th amendment right during LE interactions in order to exercise our second amendment right.

They can ask us any questions and can ask us for consent to conduct searches or seizures, but they can not force us to give consent where consent is needed.

It will take multiple lawsuits to enforce that .

Since it is established that LE may take temporary custody of Firearms during a stop , we would have to establish they would be Prohibited from running while it is already in their hand , with an MDT in front of them .

For a Plaintiff with Standing , we would need a W&C Holder , carrying a Stolen Pistol , getting caught incidental to a traffic stop .

Otherwise , the State would argue that since they were within bounds to Temporarily Hold the gun anyway , a Civil Paintiff suffered no harm if a s/n was also checked during the same time it was otherwise held by LEO .
