As stated, you may personally bring in standard capacity magazines from outside of Maryland, but you may not have them shipped to yourself in-state, because then you would be taking possession of them in Maryland. Some people have them shipped to a UPS store just across the line, such as the one in Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania.

Some of the laws may seem absurd or onerous, but it's a small price to pay to live in a crime-free Utopia.

From everything I can tell, you are coming to a better place. Lets call it out of the fire and into the frying pan.

    No bullet buttons here.
Mag capacities NOT ultimately restricted, just have to jump through hoops to get.
And best of all, we don't have Senator Frankenstein, but we do have the wicked witch of the west.
And we now have..... drum roll........ HO-GAN!!!!!!

You can buy an HBAR AR. Cash, nics check and carry. Like was mentioned above, Engage makes one that is pretty light from what I hear.....

Handguns given your military status should be easier as well, although I cannot spout the law verbatim.

From my perspective I would say you landed in a better place.

    You can say that again.

And again and again until someone believes it

We can't have active duty members of the military running around with semi-auto assault weapons! That would be crazy!

    Welcome to Maryland.

Yeah I'll be at PAX, and everyone is saying there is no way I will reenlist after this duty, because I'll have job offers. We'll see how it goes; I could love it.
