Gun Ranges for Maryland (+ several in adjacent states)
If you notice any missing or incorrect information please let me know so I can update the files. If you need any assistance with loading the file into your GPS'r, please contact me.

This link will take you to a Google Map of all ranges. Maryland Ranges
    (Thank you Skins Brew!)

    I have attached 1 file.
    1. Maryland Shooting Ranges O.xls is the original file that can be converted to a .csv file and uploaded to your GPS'r.

This file can also be found on Google Docs

    I also have a GPX file uploaded here;
http://www.poi-factory.com/node/29525 This file can be used on a BT enabled device to let you call the range directly.
(BTW, http://www.poi-factory.com is an excellent forum for anything GPS'r related and has an extensive list of POI files.

Might get more attention and use in the recreational shooting section or a more appropriate section than comments or suggestions for the web site.

    Nice list too!

Baltimore County game and fish is rifle out to 200.

Marriotsville has archery, muzzle loading, and high power. Certain individual clubs are CMP affiliated for Garand purchases.

Trap is public on the weekends.

Also, the NRA HQ range in Fairfax should be included.

Green Ridge and New Germany State Parks both have ranges.
City of Frostburg has one on US Alt. 40 halfway up Big Savage Mountain.

I've been shooting at Shooter's Range in Chambersburg, PA for a few months now. They have a nice indoor facility: 25 yard range, mechanical target returns (i.e. no cease fires to pull your targets), and they're geared more towards pistol shooting although they will allow limited rifle fire for zeroing in scopes and such. They also offer the NRA Basic Pistol Saftey class a few times a year.

    Contact info:

    1390 Edenville Road
    Chambersburg, PA 17202
    (717)-262-0060

    Enjoy.

    Hap Baker

My wife ahd a question about the Hap Baker Facility. Since it is adjacent to or on the landfill, does it stink?
We have been going to Elk Neck, and just realized that Hap Baker was 10 miles closer.

    Thanks

I haven't smelled anything the few times I have been at Hap. Of course, I haven't been there when it has been 95+ degrees out.
