I've been lurking for a bit and made a few posts, but now's the time to actually introduce myself.

I'm looking for an AGC club to join if anyone has recommendations. Preferably a family friendly one as I'm trying to drum up support on the home front and to the extent my wife gets involved, that can only help!

Welcome, if you're looking for a good local range might I suggest On Target right by Ft Meade. So far they have been the all around best shooting range I have been to whether it's the employees, the prices, the facilities, etc. I'll never forget my first time there asking to rent their S&W 617 (being new to their range a .22LR revolver is cheap and comfortable for me) and the lady behind the counter, who I would later learn was one of the owners, actually talked to me for a bit about how very few people asked for such a gun anymore with most opting for semi-auto 9mm or .40-caliber pistols. The thing that made the biggest impression on me is On Target does not have "employees" anywhere! They are a bunch of shooting enthusiasts who get paid to do what they like, they always seem happy to be there, keen on the safety aspect, and maybe this isn't as special as I think since I shoot mostly vintage revolvers that they don't likely see every day but the thing I liked most is the people there remembered me (even though I wasn't a member, either way that personal service can make all the difference). They would ask where a particular gun I owned was today when it wasn't in the case, or I'd bring in a very old piece I just bought to shoot for the first time and everyone behind the counter would come check it out. I've even let more than one employee there fire my gun, which I've never let any employee of any other range do. I love On Target and have never once had a bad experience, it's my first and only choice when I want to shoot indoor, nothing else compares in my opinion.

Thanks all for the welcome. Enzo, I have been to On Target quite a few times. It's the closest range to my house and my work and have always had a good experience there.
