Did any of you see Dr. Ben Carson (world famous Johns Hopkins brain surgeon) dress down the President at that prayer breakfast a couple of days ago with respect to the President's socialist economic leanings. I would have never guessed that Dr. Carson was to the right on fiscal issues. He is apparently retiring from medicine and it is greatly speculated that he may be getting in to politics. Does anyone know how he stands on social issues especially 2A?

I saw that too. I don't know where he stands on 2A but that was awesome. Obama was trapped at the head table with nowhere to hide. Priceless.

Saw the video, and his Fox news interview. Carson is an awesome person to have as a proponent of sanity. I hope his retirement goes well, and he makes inroads into making rational, intelligent discourse something not quite so rare, especially where Liberals are involved.

Yeah, he was just on Fox News Channel this morning, taking on the Pres over his tax and budget policies as expressed in the SU address last night. Also commented to the effect that those who criticized him for taking on Obama at the prayer breakfast don't get the difference between subject and citizen.

He's been this way for years, his stance on education is absolutely too notch. I think his planned retirement this summer is spurring him to be more vocal.

As for his 2A stance, I haven't heard him say anything specifically on it. However, in an interview with Neal Cavuto he made it clear that he understands the intent of the founding fathers and who they were. Even cites that several of them were physicians to debunk those crying about a doctor advocating tax policy.

Took me all day to down load but it was well worth it. Glad to see someone who is someone in MD has some sense about them.

I fully enjoy listening to his stance on political correctness. I don't agree with the critics who said it was not the time nor place to bring up such points.

My wife works with him at JHUH and after showing her the prayer breakfast video we both agreed it was awesome and told him so at work on Monday. She said he was very humbled and just felt compelled to speak the truth. She told him that I said he should run for President and he replied we'll see where God steers me as he is a very devout man.

I hope God steers him into politics. We need someone who uses his brain, has disdain for special interest groups, and is not a life-long politician. He could be one of the few Statesmen in this Country. The $1,000,000 question......what is his stance on the 2A? :innocent0

For what it's worth, he says he's neither Republican nor Democrat. That he is an Independent. But he frequently refers to the words and intent of the Founding Fathers and has deep respect for the Constitution. Hopefully, he will come forward into the political arena to give us more information.

I almost don't want him to run because politics ruin good men like him.
