Great shooting Karl. He went first and set the bar high. Also a Great performance by Mike P. who spend most of the day Sat helping Steve set up, worked the match all day Sun, shot last and cleaned the course and finish 3 rd.

Thanks Steve and thanks to Mayberry for letting me run on the point of the spear all day!

After seeing all the shooters and the different styles, one thing I would say:

The guys that applied the fundamentals of marksmanship tended to hit their targets. That equalled speed (get your hit in 1-3 rounds and move to next engagement). Guys that were shooting really fast could not have been applying fundamentals really well - the lock time on the AR is too long to allow really fast, precision fires. I would say to those guys, slow down the rate of fire, focus on fundamentals (especially breathing given the movement involved), and I'm sure that your speed to hits will go WAY up! This is especially true on the clay birds and milk jugs (you can get away with jamming hard on the trigger with the close range targets)...

Can't believe I was that slow LOL. I definitely need to work on my scope setup... I could hardly get a sight picture from prone position LOL.
