      Guns you regret

Get the 686, you'll love it. My seven shot 686 is my favorite handgun to shoot. I just with .357 was more affordable. Sent from my SM-P600 using Tapatalk

      Guns you regret

I really enjoyed the gun but it just was picky on ammo and had failures. I think there are only a small handful of good semi-auto .22 pistols. I have a S&W .22 revolver that's just awesome. There are just too many moving parts in the semi. Sent from my SM-P600 using Tapatalk

      Guns you regret

GSG 1911 .22, I had a lot of failures during that pistol. It was a fun gun but never shoot reliably. Sent from my SM-P600 using Tapatalk

Fall 2014 Southern Maryland Meet and Greet

I'm disappointed, I wish I could attend and would but I have another commitment. I wish it was scheduled during the week. This sucks for me but I hope you all have a great time. Sent from my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition

      9mm Home defense ammo

I recently purchased and loaded up in my Sig Sauer P226 the Liberty USM4 9mm ammo. I like the light weight of the round and you still get awesome energy delivered because of the high velocities. I think it's worth checking out. The round tests very nicely. If you could only have one revolver, which one?

I own the 686+ 6" and love it. The trigger is awesome, single action is super light. I highly recommend the 6" over the 4", don't cut yourself short. I know two people that own the 4" and regret not getting the 6". I see a lot of folks in this thread recommending the 686 and I most certainly...

Panda Tactical for Class 3 transfers?

I have purchased a couple handguns from Eliot at Panda Tactical and I have no complaints. I think doing transfers with them would be fine. Sent from my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition

When to introduce kids to firearms?

This is a great thread, I'm glad Safetech started it. I have two young boys, one that is 2 and the other is 4. I have been asking myself this question often lately. I think I may have to wait until the younger boy is ready before introducing either of them to firearms. The older one will...

Sig P226 Short Reset Trigger Job

How does that front sight look with the rear night sights in the dark? It was hard to tell in the shop what that would look like. I'd consider switching out my front sight for front high vis/night sight.

Sig P226 Short Reset Trigger Job

Nah, I wish, but the guys I go with during lunch typically clean up. They say that being a collector requires you to purchase one firearm a month. I guess I read the collector qualification incorrectly. I thought that it allowed you to buy one a month but I guess you're required to buy one a...

Sig P226 Short Reset Trigger Job

During my lunch break today I stopped in Bob's Sunoco to check out their stock. They had some Sigs at the shop that they need to send back because they were shipped with 20-round magazines. They had a P226 Tacops packages and the pistol had a really cool high vis front sight on it and...

Rimfire Steel Matches at Sanner's Lake

Is spectating ok? I'm interested in just coming to watch the event and see some good shooting, can I just show up and watch? I'd be happy to make a small donation.

      Possibly moving to Maryland

I lived in Southern Maryland for about 16-years and think this is one of the most beautiful states in the country. You can own, purchase, and use firearms in this state. Yes, the laws are unfortunately changing or restricting our rights and many of us are unhappy about it. We will stand united...

Meet all 3 Republican candidates For Gov

It would be fantastic if one of these guys could make a run, I'm very skeptical that a Republican has a chance in Maryland. I'm all in to get some like-minded leadership in Annapolis but I'm not holding my breath.

One in the chamber at home??

I keep 7 ready to go in my S&W 686, and one in the chamber in my P226. There is no safety difference as far as I can tell and both weapons ready to go double action. Sent from my Galaxy Note II

      REDUCED Capacity Magazines

I agree, but to be honest, I may start using REDUCED capacity mags just to save money on shooting. It's just to easy and fun to run through ammo with a STANDARD capacity mag.

      Handguns - Plastic or Steel?

I find that steel guns are much more comfortable to shoot, probably because of the mass over polymer guns. I think that if I could carry, I would take a polymer pistol just for the weight savings and ignore how comfortable they are to shoot. Although, there are some light weight metal pistols...
