      Sig P229 Sighting

I just bought a P229 40 cal with siglite night sights and shot it for the first time. The first round went through the bulls and then everything went south on the target from there. I tried everything with adjusting my stance and making sure I wasn't dropping my head. I still was still shooting...

      Sig P229 question

Pardon the pun. Just pull the trigger and do it. My 229 makes the 3rd sig that I own. And I really like them. You will not be disappointed. The last time I was at Gun Connection. They had a P229 40 cal with night sights for $869. Good luck and hope you get a good deal.

      Sig P229 question

If you are military or a police officer. Sig has a program that you can purchase a gun through their safety centers at a reduced price. Being military, I was able to buy a P229 40 cal with night sights for $699. Just picked it up yesterday. The safety center in MD. is Lawmen Supply in Clinton...

      National Guard??

I am a active member in the MD Air Guard. I did 8 years active and now full time guard. I just read the guidelines for the Army is now 40-42, and I believe that the Air Force cut off for age is now 27. Best thing to do is ask a recruiter if there is a age restriction. I am not sure of the Army...

AR-15 Purchase. Bushmaster? Which is fully compliant?

I also bought a Bushmaster XM-15E2S HBar and was cash and carry. Mine has the removable handle with an aimpoint mounted on top. Works great.

Moving back to MD: Where to live?

I'm in Parkville and like it here. If I had the choice, I would move to Bel Air or Forest Hill. At least in Forest Hill there is a gun shop with a indoor range called Horst and McCann.

Arizona on verge of going no-permit CCW

Go get them AZ. Go tell DC and POTUS where they can stick their gun laws.

      SKS

The gas piston should all be incorporated in the upper part of the gun in the Gas Cylinder Tube/Hand Guard. If you had a Yugo SKS, there is a small knob in the gas valve that can be moved from right to left that either enables semi-auto or single shot due to the grenade launcher feature.

      Russian SKS

Thanks Boss66 for the info. My brother has a Chinese SKS that is supposedly a Paratrooper version with a smaller barrel. It has a folding stock and the removable magazine. He also has the fixed 10 rd. mag to convert it back if any issues arise.

      Sig Mosquito

Is your skeeter a newer or older one. I was reading another thread on here that said older skeeters had issues that Sig had corrected. I can't remember what the problem was.

Personal Protection In The Home Training Class

I also want to thank all of the instructors at CRESAP. Being that this was the first PPITH class taught. You guys did an excellent job. If anyone was looking into taking the Personal Protection in the Home course, I highly recommend taking it through CRESAP. They did a great job presenting the...

Question about Safety Course for CCW

I just completed the Basic Pistol Course and the Personal Protection in the Home course through CRESAP and it was the best money I spent. It definately helped with my shooting. And the PPITH course was a blast. I highly recommend it.
