    John Galt Speaking.
Well, any ammo I have will likely be gone by next weekend. I don't go to the range to pop off just one magazine...

I HOPE these legislators aren't hoping we'll just stop 'hoarding' ammo and just buy it at the range... ;)

Exactly! How do you guys stockpile? I shoot it as fast as I get it.

On a seperate note, which one of you a-holes went to Bass Pro in Arundel Mills and bought up all 7,000 rounds of .223 they had?? ;)

The guy told me someone came in Friday and bought ever round of .223 they had. I only had 200 rounds to shoot on Saturday.

Boy, I hope someone notified the FBI. :)

People really don't understand how much ammo recreational shooters go through. When I first met my girlfriend she didn't shoot but wanted to learn, she was shocked to hear me mention i had 2-3k assorted rounds at my house.

Fast forward a few months and she had taken delivery of a Sig 226 and was ordering her second case of 9mm because the first 1000 only lasted 4 outtings.

In general, Kaine said, he is troubled that Virginia law allows any individual to stockpile ammunition with no way for authorities to monitor the cache. Seung-Hui Cho, the Virginia Tech gunman, began his rampage with 377 rounds of ammunition, according to police. He also said college presidents and police chiefs have told him that allowing students and faculty to carry weapons on campus “would be a disaster.”

So 377 rounds in stockpiling??? That a whole 7 and a half boxes. How does that qualify as stockpiling. I guess he doesn't shop at Sam's Club. We may be charged with stockpiling toilet paper the next time we buy a 24 roll pack

Thats a nice shippment you are getting, Im sure the state of mayrland isnt minding that ...its just an another metal thing to them :)

Its no problem as long as you're using an HBAR......although those look like they'll be tough to spray fire accurately from the preferred "Hip" position.

I can't wait to see what the 20 rnd mag for those looks like :D

We need to ban 200mm shells for the children!!! We need to get these things "off our streets". 200mm shells are the choice of drug dealers and gang members everywhere :D

This 2007 thread is worth taking note of; the VA governor who made these remarks is Tim Kaine, Hillary's VP running mate.

This guy is as anti-2A as one might find anywhere, unless you look up the ticket at Hillary.

I think numbers of rounds wth out putting in perspective can sound like massive stockpiles to some people out there.
When I was in high school one of my dads friends was talking about just purchased 1000 rounds or ammo and my mom (who is pro gun) asked why anyone would ever need that much ammo. My dad looked at her and said your son probably has way more ammo in his room than that. I promptly walked to my room and came out with 2 bulk packs of .22 and said this is 1000 rounds of ammo. She quickly changed her position as she realized it was not that much ammo. Some times it takes it takes showing someone what how little ammo it is to get them to change their mind.
My wife thought the amount of ammo I had at the house was rediculous until I took her to an apple seed shoot. On the way we were talking and she realized we both shot around 300 rounds each and she said i should go out and buy $600 worth of 22 so we could do it again. I laughed and told her we probably spent less than $50 in ammo......stupid me I should have have kept my mouth shut. On the plus see she has never complained again about the amount of ammo I keep on hand.
As far as the gun grabbers go even one round of ammo is too much for a private citizen to own.

Ha ha my friends in Va are life long residents and don't even know who you're talking about and could care less. That could be good or bad depending on how you look at it. All I know is who to have in my corner when it counts. Many of them support democrats, and ride with a bible. To bad not many were not at Va. Tech that day. What about that Howard County mall shooter? Any follow up on that coward, I think he was a hoarder as well but never heard much more about it. Same with the PG county cop shooter about 10 -12 months ago. In what could possibly be the biggest crime syndicate ever, and to their own chagrin who knows how many more times the American people will be continually victimized by " their leaders "

Glad to know that I am 'troubling' for the next VP.

Otoh, I am all for marriage equality, so I am 'troubling' to the alternative too.

Of course, after they ban caches, a cache will consist of anything over one box of ammo.

So How much ammo is considered a "Cashe". I have 140 rounds of 308, The Gov worrys about 322 rounds of ammo, As anyone knows its cheaper to buy in quanity. I have 100 rounds of .223 in the gunsafe and about 100 rounds of Tokevov. Damn I'm in trouble I'm at 340 and I have'nt even got to 9mm and my 550 round bulk box of 22lr ammo.

I have 40 flats of shotgun shells. That's 10,000 rounds of 12g ammo.
Then there is the 20g , the 28g, and the .410.
    Guess I'm a domestic terrorist.

I'm guessing getting a construction permit for my ammo bunker would be a bad idea.
