I'd never disclose how much SHTF ammo I've got, but let's just assume that there's enough to shoot our way out of Laurhell, clear a path up 29 and then out 32 to I-70 and still be able to spray the bushes till we get to the WVA line where the 109th Grenadiers will have a posse waiting to escort us north to PA where the 101st Ranger company will take charge and get us safely to the redoubt.

Kaine is an ass and will fit nicely alongside Hillary and Billy Bob.

I just have this one bullet I keep in my shirt pocket.

I went to Annapolis two years ago to fight a $500 handicap parking ticket and had forgotten that I had a 30.06 dummy round attached to my key chain. So when I cleaned out my pockets at the court bldg. entrance, there is was.

Had to sign the keys in and out that day and did so without incident.

And, I beat the parking ticket, too, and got off with $22.50 in court costs. Must say that the two judges hearing cases that day were very, very fair.

It really is frightening to hear this rhetoric further down past the Mason-Dixon line. The idea of monitoring ammunition purchases has raised its head before, if I'm not mistaken. Registering ammunition can't be far behind. :sad20:

The morons aren't smart enough to think of the law of unintended consequences. As soon as they announce limits or registration there will be panic purchasing ahead of any enactment of the law creating a bizillion more "caches".

    Could you repeat that, please?

I store over 1500 rounds for the day the SHTF. Off the top of my head I know I have 400 40cal, 500 .223, 300, 12 gauge, 120 7.62x54, and cant even begin to cound .22s. Am I gonna get in trouble if I get caught?

Just talk into my lapel a little louder and slower :innocent0 :)

I have a ton of stuff.

I increased my cache by 1000 rounds of M855 today. I appreciate the candidate reminding me to buy early and buy often.

Most of my ammo is stored in secret stashes called "berms". They are distributed in a few places about. Its good to know they are near, yet close enough to get to in an emergency, like if home invaders broke in.

Words like 'cache' and 'arsenal' are standard pejoratives used by antis to scare blue-haired old ladies into voting for more anti-gun laws. I've seen news stories when 2-3 guns were found and it was described as an 'arsenal'. By that measure, most of us have our own private firearms museums. :innocent0

I believe there was an effort in MD a few years back to make storage of over 1,000 rounds of ammo or over 20 firearms require an "arsenal" license. It would not surprise me to see this asinine idea resurface in the future.

Because it is clearly firearms collectors who are responsible for the carnage in city streets.

If you know exactly how many rounds of ammo you have, you don't have enough. I saw the writing on the wall 15 years ago when Bush was president and said he supported the "assault weapon ban". It was smart to stock up back then when ammo was less than half what it costs today.

OCD really sucks bro. Very exhausting. :)

You're not the only one to call me OCD. Everything in our house has to have the labels facing forward. Doesn't matter if it's medicine, herbs or condiments, all labels must face forward.

This is just one of my pet peeves.

Hey, what's the point of having a label on something if it can't trigger your OCD?

As far as I remember, Maryland has no regulations on how much fixed ammo you can store only powder and primers. Look for this to change if our woosie politicians read about the Va. guvner and his hand-wringing worries about what this now dead nut-job had.

Also, I wouldn't go posting my inventory any more if I were you.

^^ THIS. I use the same advice for my gun inventory as well.

I didn't really give much thought to it at the time, but someone I know bought a cache of 1000 rounds on both Friday and Saturday of last week when DSG had their BOGO 50% off sale on 22lr ammo.
