All of the experts dont have a clue BB. They havent worked in a shop, or likely owned a small business.
I have operated my small business for 20+ years. Bottom line I look at my P&L I don't increase my prices unless it is permanent. I don't try to squeeze extra dollar out of my customers. When I absolutely have to increase my prices they are well informed. Also in my business i make sure i am the last one to increase prices, it kills business to go first. You always get the one or two complain about the increase and to the ones I know I can't explain to I just tell them My yacht need to be overhauled and they just laugh. I don't use nickel and dime excuse. That seems to make it worse.
