Well, to close out the thread I got a response this morning that their “compliance department” is telling their CS reps that threaded barrels are restricted in Maryland and cannot be shipped into the state.

If I were Lone Wolf, I’d fire my “compliance” people. If they are this bad on a minor issue, imagine if they were wrong on something with potentially worse consequences.

Time to look at Faxon et al.

Sure is news to me. I have threaded barrels for two of my pistols (both purchased when I lived in VA, and neither currently installed in the weapons).

Agree with you - Lone Wolf should fire their compliance team. Unfortunately, one of the things that sucks about MD is that many dealers and manufacturers are reluctant to do business here because they don't want to bother to understand the laws.

I've never suffered fools well. As a younger man I would debate and argue. I've learned the best argument you can make when dealing with vendors and retailers is to deny them the sale. I won't buy from any company that likes to put unnecessary road blocks into an already time consuming process. Hanover Armory tried to tell me I needed an HQL to purchase an AR lower...NOPE...you don't make up your own rules...I bought it elsewhere and will never darken their door again...I spent several thousand there over the years and I'm done with them...I've had online vendors do the same...there's always the next guy...

Agreed. And an MD FFL that doesn't know the state laws? Wow, that's sad.

Some businesses just don't want to deal with MD. I've had that issue with Palmetto and a few other places that won't ship some things to MD even though they are legal.

I don't think it's a matter of them not knowing the laws as much as it is a matter of them trying to make up their own rules. Hanover armory I believe is currently being sued by the City of Baltimore because they had the audacity to sell 80% frames and receivers both of which are perfectly legal to sell and own. I have a gut feeling that this suit has them a bit scared and now they've decided to not only ensure as they have always that all federal and state firearms regulations are followed but are now taking further steps to make sure that every eye is dotted and t is crossed and I can understand that to a point but you don't make up your own rules. Especially in a state where it's hard enough to buy a firearm.

Just as a general PSA to anyone reading this thread: if you have a DC ccw and a legally registered pistol don't swap to a threaded barrel and bring it into DC. Threaded pistol barrels are illegal here by statute.

As a further further update, this arrived in the mail today. Apparently CS and the shipping department don’t talk. :lol2::)

How do you like the TP barrel? I have one inbound for my P365XL based on a recommendation or two. Starting this year they got rid of the peep hole in the interest of not fouling optics, which was a nice selling point.
I'm very happy with mine. I shoot lead mostly and it never fouls and the lead is cut to handle longer bullets. It is also more accurate from the bench than the stock barrel.
    I highly recommend them.
