Just ordered a threaded P365XL barrel from Lone Wolf Arms. I’ve used one of their threaded barrels (they shipped to me in May of 2022) in a previous P80 build with no issue. Saw a really good deal on the 365XL barrel last night and ordered it last night. Just received this email:

    Hello,

Your order is for a threaded barrel to a restricted state. We are unable to send it there. The order can be cancelled and refunded.

Thank you have a great day,

Thank you for choosing Lone Wolf Arms,

Did something change that I am unaware of? Are threaded barrels now restricted in any way?

I do not believe they are restricted in any way.

Rather than trying to figure out Maryland's gun laws, LW is bailing. You can try to educate them. It's worth a try.

Go visit them in person at the next Chantily show.

Thanks everyone for confirming what I thought I knew. Email sent; hopefully it was just an error.

@dblas This sounds like a good idea!

That's how Lone Wolf operates. I wouldn't waste your time trying to convince them any differently.

I'd look for either Rosco or Ballistic Advantage Glock barrels instead.

Sucks to hear that. The barrel I have is good quality and has great accuracy. I won’t hold out hope they will come to their senses.

    Don't give up,

I once had a Ruger Super Blackhawk with the 7 inch barrel that developed a 4+ inch longitudinal crack in the barrel.

I returned it to Ruger to be fixed. They told me it was unfixable due to a squib load doing the damage.
I pressed the issue as high as needed to get a replacement complete pistol. It has never been fired since I got it back.

Ruger's initial remedy was unacceptable. They told me they could sell me one at cost at the time. Something like $375.
I repeated to them that I had only had roughly 250 rounds of Factory American Eagle ammo through it, and if they could not stand by their warranty, and ensure that I could also shoot my other 6-7 Ruger handguns or rifles, than I would be selling off all my Ruger weapons in favor of other brands like Winchester, Weatherby etc.

AND that I wanted my old gun back in order to have my gunsmith inspect it to refute Ruger's claim of a squib.

I named my replacement, Brenda Page, after the manager at Ruger who heard my appeal and made good to me with a new weapon.

nope, not restricted at all in the PRK.
^^^This. I would avoid Lone Wolf barrels, especially their Alfa Wolf series. They are very hit or miss. Was this barrel of their manufacture?

The AlphaWolf M17/9 I have had a few thousand rounds without issue, and has eaten quite a few different brands of whatever cheap crap ammo I threw at it. How would I know if it’s an in-house barrel or not? Only marking on the barrel is “M/17 9…

I suppose I should look elsewhere if the quality is that hit-or-miss. That being said I was only picking up the P365XL barrel because it was a decent price and would let me put a can on my P365XL for kicks and giggles at the range.

Glad you stuck it to the man! I’ll see what can be accomplished via a few emails. But if they hold firm I’ll write them off and spend my money elsewhere.

Out of maybe 8 or 9 of their barrels I've used in builds, 4 were crap. All the crap ones were Alfas.

Glad I beat the odds on the one. I trust your experience and probably won’t be gambling any more on their product. we’ll see what happens with this one (if they even ship it.)

I haven't seen great reviews of Lone Wolf parts. I put a Faxon threaded barrel on my P365 and built a G17 Gen 3 with a threaded AAC barrel and love both of them.

Well, to close out the thread I got a response this morning that their “compliance department” is telling their CS reps that threaded barrels are restricted in Maryland and cannot be shipped into the state.

If I were Lone Wolf, I’d fire my “compliance” people. If they are this bad on a minor issue, imagine if they were wrong on something with potentially worse consequences.

Time to look at Faxon et al.

I sure hope not since three of the five pistols that I bought in the last month have threaded barrels. This is happened to me a couple of times from a few vendors that don't know how to interpret the state law so they opt for the easiest solution of not shipping to that state. That's fine. I simply go find a vendor that sells the same product that will ship to the state. Problem solved.

Yep. We have enough bad laws and restrictions on our rights without 2A companies and others voluntarily restricting them further.

    I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

I've never suffered fools well. As a younger man I would debate and argue. I've learned the best argument you can make when dealing with vendors and retailers is to deny them the sale. I won't buy from any company that likes to put unnecessary road blocks into an already time consuming process. Hanover Armory tried to tell me I needed an HQL to purchase an AR lower...NOPE...you don't make up your own rules...I bought it elsewhere and will never darken their door again...I spent several thousand there over the years and I'm done with them...I've had online vendors do the same...there's always the next guy...
