Im normally not compelled to post stuff on the internet so here goes. First off hello from Hagerstown and hello to you Annie. I wanted to say thanks more importantly to the folks at SAF and MSI and all the great info the members have posted on this site. I decided to look into getting a concealed carry permit recently and during my research came across your site. I just missed getting caught up in an armed holdup of a local gas station and that along with the recent rise in crime in this area has promted me to reluctantly take proactive measures. I decided a while back to take some advanced driving courses at Summit Point Raceway and was amazed at how much better i was behind the wheel. The reason I mention this is I plan to do the same BEFORE I start carrying concealed. Once again thanks! Regards, Travis

Hidey Ho from SMIBville. It sounds like you are delinquent in your contributions in money and time to MSI and SAF. So get off your butt and pony up and I better see you in Annapolis when they try to screw us all over.

Guilty as charged.:sad20: I now understand much better just how bad things in Maryland are. I need to make a point to donate...in fact.

Hi Travis! I sooo understand about the need to protect oneself. I (unfortunately) was involved in an incident last weekend that prompted me to take action. Based on all of the great info/references I read here, I dropped a few hundred at Hafer's yesterday. My motto is now "Refuse to be a Victim". Stay safe and buy an electric car (lol).

Amen to that Annie! Its good to see more women getting involved in the shooting sports even if the circumstances are unfortunate.

I think more women would get involved if they were approached differently. So many have said to me that they are afraid of guns -- to me it's empowering to know how to handle one safely and that I can protect myself. A person should not be afraid in their own home....:sad20:

Thanks for the warm welcome guys and gals. I did join and later donate to MSI as well as signing up for e-mail updates which will alert me to goings on in Annapolis. Im not too encouraged by some of the commentary coming from the MSP regarding permits but perhaps thats something to be posted in another topic.
