You know you can edit a post and add more pics to it instead of making multiple posts with one pic. Btw. First one cleaned up and passes a go and no go. There was some pitting on the magazine and bottom of barrel near Rx. Nothing bad where it counts.
Started soak on 2nd one. The Cosmo is very dense and not dripping away easily with heat.
very common for action screws to be not fully tightened on surplus mosins.
Metal for 2nd M44 almost done. Bore is REALLY clean. Some pitting and rust again on the magazine but kroil soak overnight it almost all rubbed off easily.
Fire pin protrusion on one was over the limit with the lines lined up and flush. Turned in 1/2 turn and its fine now. Go No Go test on 2nd passed. Both of mine I broke all the way down including removing trigger spring/sear and such. Both looked like the Albanians worked on the trigger sear face but both still have typical mosin trigger pulls.
