    Hello all!

I'm a retired Navy Vet who has been wanting to get back into firearms and shooting. I grew up in Alaska where firearms were pretty much an extension of everyone's lives. Started in Junior High School on the NRA sanctioned rifle team and went from there until I joined the Navy.

My rate in the Navy didn't have me handling weapons often except for the .45, 12ga. and M-14 from time to time as security rover or security alert team on duty days. Now that I'm retired I am getting the itch to get back into shooting though. I'll take my time to read as much as possible on this forum and get up to speed.

    Cheers!

Welcome. Might wanna check out Greenbelt Gun Club and/or Berwyn Rid & Gun Club. If you like shooting clays, you'll definitely want to check out the PG Trap & Skeet. It's actually a county park facility, believe it or not.

Where in the County are you?

I'm in Upper Marlboro. I'll look into both, thanks for the tip!

Again, thanks to all for their kind welcome! I've been living in PG County now for a couple of years. I retired back in 2006 so not necessarily retired recently. Been in MD for about little over two years now after having lived in Stafford, VA for a few as well.

Welcome from HoCo. You sure found the right place for enthusiasts.

If you are following the bills, come on down to Annapolis.
