Those mouse clicks can be strenuous

Here’s an idea. If it’s too much work, don’t bother reading it

I’ll come over after dinner to wipe your ass

That says you have to dispose of the stabilizing brace. Is that in the ATF rules? I could be very wrong but I don't remember seeing that. I don't believe that is in MD law either. Is it true just because MSP says so?

I think they are throwing us a bone. If you bought a pistol (like an MP5 clone) and put a brace on it, it would still be considered a pistol by MSP. Meaning it doesn't have to be 29 inches.

Best case: this is the MSP stating "this is our state, we will police it according to state law."

Worst case "hey, AFT, we have a list of citizens who haven't broken state law, but you should totally go shoot their dog investigate whether they have broken federal law."

Hmmm, ATF says "remove the brace so that it cannot be reattached". That is not the same as saying destroy the brace. I'm so confused .

So I’m confused. Does this mean a SBR is a handgun as far as MSP is concerned? And if so, would that allow one to have multiple “evil features” since the item is no longer a rifle and subject to the feature test? For instance could you have a suppressor and a folding stock on an SBR? Because prior to reading this bulletin I thought that was verboten.

Or am I an idiot? (Don’t ask my wife this question…)

MSP says it’s both. Don’t ask why. It’s MD

It’s both a handgun and a center fire rifle subject to copycat restrictions

I suspect much of this will be moot in a few years.

Meanwhile, I keep looking longingly at the border . . .

Dumb question...would this apply to a .22 ruger charger as well?
Everything I've seen refers to AR pistols.
I took the free eForm 1 for my own Ruger Charger .22LR.

Don't quote me, but read somewhere that if it's a .22LR it does NOT need to have the MD required 29" OAL for an SBR.

I'm not a MD resident anyways, so, I filed my eForm1 like normal not really caring about the weird MD requirements.

Correct. Rimfire rifles are not considered copycats and therefore not subject to OAL requirements
