Clip folder inside waistband appendix carry behind belt buckle. If detector goes off raise shirt say belt buckle, wave you through (been to lots of Ravens games).

Anyone know of a place that makes plastic canisters of mace/OC?

I forgot to empty all my pockets and after successfully passing through the metal detector noticed I had 2 individual house keys in my pockets they didn't detect...

Try a Kimber Pepper Blaster. Plastic body, minimal metal inside.

Get the gray one, put it in a cheap cell phone case, and no one will be the wiser (especially with an optional cover garment).

Last night I put this in the tray:

    7 quarters
    5 dimes
    7 nickels
    4 pennies

Guy told me that I don't need to put that in the tray next time, that wouldn't have set it off...

    Dog and pony show...

Not a dog and pony show, but they're not looking for pocket change, cigarette packs and a random key. They're looking for guns or fairly large, dense knives. Guns can be mostly plastic but bullets can't.

I didn't know a metal detector picked up on copper, lead, or brass. I thought it picked up on steel.

This prompted me to read up.

    3. What types of things will a metal detector help me find?

All metallic objects. Example: gold, silver, iron, nickel, copper, brass, aluminum, tin, lead, bronze. Metal detectors will not detect nonmetal items such as gemstones, diamonds, pearls, bone, paper, or stone figures.
