That fee has been set since 2013.

Wasn't that to help pay fro the cost of the card?
I will renew in Oct., since I have a W&C. I may start the process as soon as it opens up. I was asking about this a few months ago.

I got my HQL renewal email reminder from MSP and did the online renewal. I had to change my password first.

Good question. I wen't through the whole app and am at the payment part. I didn't see any language or checkbox to say I have a W&C. So is the initial HQL, if you have a W&C free but renewals costs $20.00 regardless...? I'm going to try to call the licensing division...

What if you renew your W&C first? Then the HQL should be free.

Got hold of someone in the LD. BLUF: Renewal is $20 regardless of whether you have a W&C or not.

I confirmed with a W&C, free for the initial but doesn't count for renewals. I asked a couple different ways. I did get the feeling it didn't make sense to the individual I spoke to either...

I have been wondering for W&C holders if you’d let it expire for a week and then reapply you would get it for free?

Since you were not applying for renewal, it should be the same as if you were applying for the first time with W&C.

The problem for me is my W & C doesn’t expire until 2024. My HQL expires next October
