Hello From Southern Maryland

I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Steve and I live in Lusby. I have recently been bitten by the gun bug and I'm in the process of building a collection and educating myself. So far I have scored a Ruger 10/22 takedown and I have a Marlin .22 I have had 40 years my folks gave me when I was ten. I still shoot it. I also have a 1887 Winchester lever action 12 gauge that was my great grand dads. I have a DPMS Oracle, Taurus PT709 9mm, and a Taurus Model 66 .357Mag that are awaiting paperwork from MSP. I am a Navy vet as is my wife whom retired after 23 years of service. As I mentioned I am reading like fiend and educating myself about AR-15s. Any advice on what to add to the stock DPMS would be appreciated.

great think about AR's- all the add ons are personal prefference and everyone's is different.

NavyBlue - I am actually just getting ready to do my intro as well and have some of the similar toys that you have. I have the DPMS Oracle that I bought about 1.5 years ago when prices were still low. I think I purchased mine for $650. I have added a lot to it and want to build one now so its dangerous. I added a Gen II drop in quad rail from Midwest Industries that was a great fit and solid, have front and rear MagPul BUIS, Primary Arms Red Dot, MagPul grip, and MagPul ACS commercial spec Stock. All in FDE but wish I would have kept it black. These are decent additions and I have liked them so far.
