Charging handle location isn't a huge issue to me, being a lefty, you learn to adapt.

I'd be interested in shouldering and firing one to see if it does it for me. Starting to get a little bored with the AR's to be honest.

7.62x39 version is $100-$200 too high, but the 7.62x51 gun should compete really well with the Sig 716.

Figure for the first few months as supply is still not enough to meet demand you will see MSRP and up to around $2000 and then after awhile down to around $1500 just like the Tavors. I got my Tavor a bit early in the rush for $1999 from Engage and have not a single regret about paying that much and seeing it drop several months later. I wanted it when I wanted it and gladly paid the premium for doing so.

Hopefully the 5.56 rifles show up before the next election and Sen. Frankenfeinstein's next chance to have her way.

If the 5.56 rifles will use AR mags, then this thing must be some kind of prototype or something.

No, that's a production model. The 5.56x45 rifles come in two variants: "ACE" and "ACE N". The "ACE N" guns use AR mags, the "ACE" guns use Galil mags. Much as I love my Galil mags, IWI is making the right call in going with AR mags for the US market... so long as it's pmag compatible.

I'm totally onboard with getting a 8.5" 7.62x39 ACE SBR and a 16" 7.62x51 ACE. I am wavering about a 13" 5.56x45 Galil ACE SBR, given that I already own a 13" Galil SAR SBR. But I love the Galils! :)

Here's one with an AR mag in it. I reckon if I paint a couple of my AR mags black they'll at least resemble the real mccoys.:)

I honestly think its ugly as sin, but if it shoots good and has good ergonomics, I might be interested in a x39 flavor. Guns are tools and good tools aren't always pretty.

Could this be considered a copy if it has some interchangeable parts with the Galil AR or ARM?

    Back in MD sadly

It should be. The market pictures show it with an AK PMAG so it would be dumb for them to leave out the AR one. Of course I am switching to exclusively Lancer mags anyway so it won't be an issue for me. Here is a few pics of the 7.62x39 pistol version to drool over ;)
