It all depends on your FFL. I wouldn't bother asking them to ship without it. The worst case scenario is that your FFL will charge you to ship the mag back. Some will simply take it. Some will take it and possibly give you a 20rd mag for free. One time, I got 20rds of ammo for a 30rd mag the FFL took. Check with your FFL.

They don't cost much at all to make when you consider the volume of production, depriciation of equipment spread out, and little manpower per unit when manufacturing in bulk. Just like cars.
Might be worth asking about the discount, but I wouldn't ask for an illegal transfer. Pretty sure that's a felony offense. Surprised a FFL suggested it.

This is a great deal. Lou/Shooters Discount was selling them for $1,379 in mid-June. I prefer to go local, even for a few more bucks, but this would be too good to pass up - if I hadn't already pulled the trigger elsewhere

They ship super fast, ordered a handgun from them a month ago; ordered it at 3 pm on a Wed and she arrived at the local FFL 48 hours later (FFL was already on file with them). Sweet price on the Colt! They seem to be dropping in price across the board...
