Greetings all from Parshooter- a handle that covers my two greatest passions, Guns and Golf. After my loving bride and God, but I digress. For the purposes of this forum, Guns, then Golf. This is actually my third post on the way to being legitimate. I was a bad boy and stopped at a couple other threads before introducing myself. I ask forgiveness, since I am an old guy that is very new to posting forums. I've always been one of those lurkers, just seeing what people think and trying to get information that is plentiful here. I live in LaPlata, and claim to be a member of the silent majority. I know MOM has attempted to claim that moniker to his unjust cause, but that's BS. I am old enough to remember Nixon describing what the silent majority is. We get up, go to work, play by the rules, and try to live our lives in peace without being screwed with by other people or the gub'mint. At one time I was a young, long haired libtard. I graduated from that stupor courtesy of Jimmy Carter, and after puchasing my first firearm (a S&W Highway Patrolman that I still have and will never part with) I became a single issue voter and pretty much deserted the Democrat Party. After many years of just donating to some causes and candidates and voting, I have become active and attended rallies, and just recently stayed up until 3AM to testify in Annapolis. So I look forward to the back and forth here that will help keep my mind sharp. I also just saw today that "The Great One" hangs out here. This is fun!

Thanks, DaveMP, I actually did skim the rules and faq's (accent on skimmed), and have been lurking as I said so I knew where to find some of the info. But now I have my own reference material in a place I can always look first. I appreciate that everyone here has been welcoming.

See you at the SMIBtogethers. I will be making some noise shortly so listen out. Well settle in with some sweet lemonade(official beverage)and enjoy the show.
Thank you, I appreciate that. I must say that although I have lived and worked in SOMD for over 30 years and I know what SMIBs is, I have never heard of a SMIBtogether. I am a fan of Sweet tea and I'm sure I will adapt to the sweet lemonade quickly. I will keep my eyes and ears on...

Joined up and donated aways back, not sure when exactly, but I get frequent emails. Now instead of being able to donate to the people that call on the phone, I tell them sorry for now and turn around and send it to 2A orgs.
