Why are you driving to Machine Gun Nest for rifle? Does MSAR no longer allow rifle?
To your question: Why not both rifle and pcc, or is this a budget issue? I've got two PCCs: Beretta CX4 and CZ Scorpion (pistol with tailhook brace). I like both, though I like the Scorpion much more.
My first CZ, but probably not my last. Their guns seem solid, and that Shadow is beautiful. Seems like Scorpions are a dime a dozen these days, but she's new to me, and I love her. I've already swapped out the right side safety lever, looking at getting a Vortex Crossfire RDS for her...
Any idea how he holds the rifle, ie, is he holding the rifle canted so the optic is convenient to his left eye?
Knowing this friend, he won't put in the time to truly become proficient as a leftie shooter, so I'm hoping there is a "gear" solution.
Yes, really.
I have a friend who is right handed, and used to be right eye dominant before he lost his right eye to cancer.
He and his wife are both interested in an AR 15, but have questions about how this would work, particularly for him.
Some thought I had:

Not sure about Strikefire II, but I've got the first gen Strikefire on a CX4 Storm carbine.
No issues with it, especially at the pricepoint. It holds zero, it cowitnesses. I would have liked something less bulky, but it isn't terribly bulky and again: for the price, I'm not gonna complain...
Had to make this decision not long ago. I don't have personal experience with Primary Arms, but I read good things.
That said, I went with the Strike Eagle. Personally, I liked the reticle better, the Vortex warranty gave me peace of mind and I had good experiences with their other...
I started down the AR path convinced I'd only go with top-shelf optics, and that's what I did with my first AR. But, top-shelf optics are expensive, and I decided to try lower-priced options.
I started with a Vortex Strikefire on a Beretta CX4, and was very pleasantly surprised to find that...
Thanks all.
I had my tacticool funzies with my first AR. I'm really digging the more minimal look of this one. Now that I've tried an A2 stock, I may never do another carbine :)
Though, Utah is not one of them.
