      Redneck Gun Club

I mountain biked out there a few years ago and we used to hear A LOT of shooting. I was told it was a guy with lots of land and a private range. You can google the bike loop out there to see a map of the areas adjacent to it.

An unlikely pro-carry story from The Atlantic

This is a great article...thank you for posting it. I find the cconclusion that if concealed carry were legal, janitors, teachers...basically everyone, would be carrying to be an absurd thought. The pressure point, to me, is that the criminal would have to consider that everyone is a potential...

EDC Knife - Once and Done

I absolutely love my Spyderco Delica. I can't even tell it's there and that translates into me ALWAYS wanting to carry it. I also have a Caly 3 that is a little dressier...sweet knife, but I go for the Delica 99 times out of 100.

Let's bring this place back to life...

Another vote for a basic boyscout folder. I just bought my daughter her first floder for her 13th b-day...a little blue Swiss Army with a light and a pen...she loves it!

Garrett County Is Under A Blizzard Warning!

Greenridge missed out on the snow, but I'm not sure about the wind. Hope all is well at the cabin. We lost power in Frostburg late last night and only ended up with a few inches of very wet snow. I'm in Cumberland now and there is no snow at all...temps in the low 40's.

2nd Amendment misunderstood - ireport from CNN

I have to run out the door, but I'll jump in a little since I started the thread. The idea of mandatory training and certification bothers me and the fact that it will mean another tax is going to bother even more people. Also...what is the scope of the training? It seems that from a...

      Need suggestion on handgun purchase

Another pro for the CZ (assuming it feels good in your hand) is that you can get the Kadet kit and convert it to a .22. The kit is a bit pricey (360.00ish), but if you plan on going through a lot of ammo practing, it could pay for itself quickly. You're other options may have similar...

      Anyone shooting anytime soon?

Surplus City in LaVale has a great rotating stock of a variety of mil surplus. Savage River range is 5 bucks a day or 25 a year. They have target stands...take some tape and a staple gun and you'll be set. You can also hit the range in frostburg on the public days two weekends a month for 5 bucks.

      Springfield 1911 Range Officer

I just went through this with a cz85 combat. cz85 (no combat designation) was on the roster, but the slide is stamped cz85 COMBAT and my ffl insisted that they had previous experience with this and it wouldn't fly. Another FFL holder that I contacted said it wasn't an issue, but their price...
