Good to see the deadly blackpowder pistol off the streets! Watching channel 11 last night, they were making a big deal about "functioning firearms." I'm wondering if they would have turned junk away.

Man look at that haul...they had 70 Chromebooks and managed to give away only 17. Thank god they got that break open single shot shotgun off the streets!

Anyone know what Chromebooks they were giving away? On average, Chromebooks run $200-250. Blank firing .22 starter pistols can be had for $50. Most of these buy backs offer $100-200 in cash in prizes.

I wish they had a national registry of buy back programs. Seems like some easy money to be made.

This is the reason I don't think we should take junkers just to get stuff. Spin. They failed miserably.

They failed to remove hundreds of guns from circulation.
They failed to remove guns that are typically used to commit crime.
They failed in getting crowds to show up and get photographed showing how much the cause means.

They spin and call it a win regardless, and people will believe it.

Just think how they would have tooted their own horns over running out of computers to give away while there was still a line.

I agree that showing up and saving some valuable guns from destruction is a good idea. I think showing up and educating the people willing to give away guns is a better idea, if the police don't keep you on the wrong side of the crime scene tape.
