Huh...he meets complete strangers to show houses for sale. This can happen late at night in bad neighborhoods. He is in danger of being mugged for the cash he has in his wallet and the theft of his car. Do you know montoya? How do you know he doesn't carry cash? I am by no means someone who is "well off" and I usually carry $300-$600 cash at any given time just in case. Seems reasonable enough to me.

Personal safety comes to mind when showing houses (also called common sense), it is not a great idea to show houses after dark (a majority of real estate agents tell their buyers they will not show houses after dark and don't get on the soap box of that is the only time they can show, that's BS). As for cash, who doesn't carry a few bucks in their wallet but he's not "transporting cash" on a regular basis (everything is electronic). As for showing strangers, I guess he doesn't meet them first to detail the home buying process. BTW, did you provide the MSP with stats on real estate muggings in your area as justification or BS them that you carry large amounts of cash (everything is electronic these days). Butt hurt, everyone on here should be, if this guy got a permit. I like mine with extra butter please.

I'm in the mood to argue so here goes.

Ok so you think it is not a great idea to show houses after dark. That's none of anyone's business what he chooses to do, and no one has a right to tell him when / where / how to show houses. Justifies a permit.

When I bought my house I met my realtor 1x for about an hour and a half in his office. He didn't know me well at all...what does an hour tell him? We went to many vacant houses. If I had bad intentions would not have been hard to do that.

If you carry $1 in your wallet you are transporting cash. That is why people get mugged. Cash in your wallet. Justifies a permit.

Why should he have to provide any of that crap? The almighty MSP should already have that right? Oh wait they are just there as a speed bump and road block to make the process difficult. I'm not butthurt at all. I'm glad he stuck it to them especially SGT Knaub. I get giddy inside just thinking about it.
