Too bad he didn't stand up and speak out about it when they were trying to pass this law in the first place. I do like that he basically refuted everything Brown's letter said, however it also gives them a shopping list if they wanted to go after more.
He was present to speak & answer questions for the Judiciary committee as the MSP's expert. However, a lawyer with the Gov's office would not allow him to answer any of the committee's questions, telling him later this wasn't about crime prevention, but was for votes ("feel-good" legislation).
He was going to tell the committee this law would be BS & wouldn't do anything to curb crime or make Md safer.
The officer didn't give away the store. That info has been out there for a couple of years. He's been a stand-up guy for 2A.
