Dan Rodricks says we won! We didn't win. The media and liberals seem to think that we who exercise our 2A rights take pleasure in these horrible shootings. I've got news for you Dan, we don't celebrate these acts. In fact we deplore them. We want answers too. In regards to mental health, how do you determine a person is mentally ill if that person doesn't seek treatment? Do you sweep in like the Gestapo and round up people who are suspected of being mentally ill? Involuntary holding those people until an evaluation is done?
So, Dan contacts a Hopkins trained ( read brainwashed ) man who says that if you have to go through life armed you are a coward! Taking his statement with less then a grain of salt, is this what we've come down to; name calling! Really?
Maybe if you spend some time with and getting to know what the 2A community is about you will learn some interesting things.

Although I don't speak for the vast majority of gun owners, I believe we are highly trained, responsible citizens. We go to great lengths to ensure that we stay within the confines of laws that are written. We don't own firearms because we are cowards, we own firearms because we are brave! We face tremendous criticism from law makers, the media, and those who belief that normal citizens should not have guns. If normal citizens should not have guns, that leaves only abnormal people armed with guns. Now that thought is scary.

Imagine your utopia of unarmed normal citizens. Now imagine your utopia filled with abnormal people with guns. Can you tell me the normal unarmed citizens can all be protected from the abnormal armed people? No, they can't all be protected. Dan, would it surprise you to learn that your utopia does exist? It exists right here in Maryland right now. As I write this I am leaving my home to be out and about the streets of Baltimore. My guns are safely locked away and I am unarmed. I hope I don't run into an abnormal armed person on the street, because I am at their mercy. Oh by the way, if a normal person is described as a law abiding unarmed citizen then an abnormal person is described as an armed criminal or armed mentally ill person. Does that sound like the utopia you wanted, because that is the utopia you have.

F***K the Baltimore Sun. They have been a Radical Left Wing rag for quite some time. And the sad thing is the sheeple in Baltimore keep eating up the garbage that they call journalism.

Is it even possible to get an honest, unbiased view on the gun subject printed anymore? Between him and Eric Cox, we are painted pretty badly.

That's all well and good, but did you actually tell Rodricks this? Did you go to the Sun's editorial page online and leave those remarks for him and everyone else to see? I have many, many times, enough to get personal replies......

Posting it here is just preaching to the choir.

How is being prepared to be self-reliant during an emergency cowardly? Does he think it's cowardly to wear seatbelts or have a fire extinguisher in your home? What a douche.

Of course not. Neither of those things offer a defense against libtard tyranny, so those are perfectly ok.

Have you ever invited Dan Rodricks to an indoor range and give him an afternoon of safety class followed by a few hours shooting? At some point the choir needs to adjust their tactics. I'll send Rodricks an email and invite him.

You will likely get a hack job in return. Minds must be open before they can be filled.

    Ninjaroll,
You speak the truth, this is exactly how I feel.

Although most of us are like minded and I agree on spreading that message; it is not just preaching to the choir. Many people everyday are realizing they have a need and right to defend themselves; comments like yours solidify and encourage them and 'us'.

Bravo Zulu, and well said; keep up the good fight!

I hope we see one another in Annapolis on 4 Feburary. :)

    lol
A better question is how could the CCW live with himself :)

In this state? Most likely living in fear of those who want to villify the evil ccw'er for shooting an "obviously innocent" person. I know I'd be moving as fast as I could to avoid zimmerman style press coverage.
