I was wondering if anyone here still has there first handgun? My first handgun just turned eighteen years old, a S&W 686. Man, I'm getting old. So what did you get and do you still have it.

My first handgun was a Ruger P90 stainless, bought it used when I turned 21. I still have it and always will have it. The thing is built like a tank.

My first handgun is the Ruger Mark I that my father purchased in 1960 and used on the Army pistol team. Still has a crisp <2 lb. trigger pull and is way more accurate than I am.

Could never part with this one.

Smith & Wesson Model 10 I bought from Valley Guns for like $50.00 when Baltimore City Police went to the Beretta's (1989??). Still have it and occasionally shoot it.

    First rimfire: Beretta Neos
    First centerfire: Polish TT-33

Still have 'em both, albeit I haven't used the TT-33 in like a year. I ought to take it back out one of these days.

I still have my first semi auto (SA 1911) but not my first handgun a S&W 686. Wish I never sold that gun.

Iver Johnson .22 revolver. Think 5/8ths scale SAA but this gun was SA/DA. It was a piece of garbage, bought only because I needed a handgun quick to satisfy the silly NY pistol permit laws. Once you are approved, you have 30 days to buy a handgun. Not tough sounding now, but as a struggling college kid, it was tough.

Bought it in late 1981/early 1982. Sold it to a Buffalo LEO, legally, when I was leaving town.
