If the S really HTF, I'd probably go full auto (AC556). Other than that it would be his and hers ARs or his and hers AKs... depending on if I just want the threat dead or if I want to destroy its soul as well.

In close, the Benelli Super 90. That presumes ammo at hand and not needing to be carried.

Otherwise, AR (Lord Chad minimus upper) with Leupold HAMR and MAGPUL BUIS with tritium post.

Further out (I love my M1A but...), Daniel Defense DD5V1 with Vortex 1-6. Nice to be able to reach out and touch someone.
