Dear God. Not the bread….I don’t know if he made it back or not. The bread section might have got him also

Congrats!I just got my W&C card from the mail, I'm about to go to the grocery store.
I'm not going with the 1911SC, I need to retrain on ensuring I disengage the safety regularly on the draw (for most of the last 5 or 6 years, I went DAO, DA/SA or striker fired for defensive guns and only added 1911 style safeties back as anything other than a range toy recently). As tempting as the 625MG is, since it will be concealed, no one will see the nicer holster, so it will wait. So, between one of my regular carry guns or the Colt King Cobra (which will be a regular carry when I decide to carry a revolver), I think I'm going with the revolver. As much as I like my P365 and G19, a metal gun is more special, and between my PCR and the revolver, I'm in a revolver mood. If I was more up to date on my training with 1911s I'd have gone with the 1911SC or the new Garrison if I had picked it up and had it tested out but I won't be getting to the store or range until tomorrow.
No problem. Simply Rugged holsters may be my favorite revolver holster. Be sure to get it with the IWB straps for added versatility. I would have thought it would have been a good pancake holster that wouldn't work well as an IWB or worse, that trying to do both it wouldn't do either well. After reading a lot of praise for them, I gave them a chance and they actually do both very well. Thanks for the tip on the snake gun.
Until yesterday I only had UT. Now that I have MD, I will add PA since I'm there a lot (probably apply today). I'll probably add a WV non-resident permit before my next trip to see family in MN since it is one of the few MN honors. The MN non-resident process doesn't work well if you don't live near MN (like PA and WV you have to go in person to apply and it isn't a one day in and out process).I have the MD W&C, Utah, AND DC! I'm looking to get the WV, PA, and FLA at some point.
I would never carry without a round in the chamber in an auto. I picked a revolver and it isn't an old SAA clone so there was no need to have the hammer over an empty chamber so I had rounds in all 6 chambers.Good luck, I hope you make it OK! Gonna carry one in the chamber?
Maybe it's due to geography, but I seem to find more cougars at the salad bar."Oh George, not the livestock!"
He could have been waylaid by a cougar in the produce department. They lurk there.
I'm fully aware. I've been carrying for years out of state and it has often been my CZ PCR and I have carried my large frame 4" S&W 625MG at times. I guess so many years of having to be so careful even with how I transport my guns here in MD and carry being an absolute no go, it felt like I was doing something I wasn't supposed to do. I'm guessing it will take anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks of regular carry for that feeling to go away. I may even force myself to only carry my larger carry guns until the feeling goes away before I start carrying the smaller P365 and 2" snubs instead of the other way around. To OP, you are worrying too much. Most people at the store are so engrossed in their phones that you could have a slung m4 and half wouldn't notice.
I mean I get where you are coming from, and I do attempt not to print/show, but frankly, I don’t care if some libturd sees it. What they gonna do call 911? Even then, I have a legal permit and I am legally permitted to carry, long as you’re polite with the officers you’re going to be fine. So, I didn't think I'd have the usual new CCWer issues. I've been carrying out of state on a UT permit for a decade or so and I'm often carrying around my home and have been for 20+ years. I'm comfortable wearing a gun.
What I didn't consider is a very real awareness that I'm here at home in very anti-gun MD. I almost felt like a new carrier, constantly wondering if anyone (everyone?) knew I was carrying. I knew not to fidget with it, but I did make 2 trips to the restroom to check it in the mirror and I was very careful when reaching for something. I may only carry my small P365 and 2" snubs until I'm used to carrying here before moving to my 3" Colt King Cobra, 1911SC, Glock 19 and CZ PCR.
One day at Masada, watch boy wore a Desert Eagle .50 in a chest rig. This post may inspire me to carry my 8 inch S&W 629 one day
Three pages in and I'm still not sure what this thread is about but I like the cougar thread drift. Speaking of which, anyone else spot Stiffler's mom in the new Old Navy Christmas adverts?
Yeah, wild life pics would be nice.

I'll have to look for the thread about Dec. 11, I wasn't aware. ...
Somehow I managed to refrain from stepping out with my suppressed AR 300BO pistol. Not even tempted a little.Everyone didn't catch on to the subtleties . OP is a gun guy , and familiar with carrying generally .
He was wondering what he should carry specifically for first time in Maryland to Commemorate being able to do so .
So potentially something other than typical daily carry , for pride while doing so , and to make a good story in later years .
